What Knives Are Popular With Military?

Bayonets are making a comeback for things like escorting prisoners and keeping civilians at a distance. A review of a book about luftwaffe gravity knives
stated that from the pics it looked like they were used mostly for cutting sausage in the field. If I had to carry a knife in combat it would probably be a Buck 119, cheap ,tough and a great fighter if needed. Knife fighting skills are much more usefull for people who don't carry a rifle and live somewhere you can't carry a handgun like here in canada.

Them sojers is gonna be mighty miffed to find that they COULD have made 46 cuts in 1/2" sisal before having to touch up the edge.

:D

I think what soldiers want is the quality for their hard earned bucks. A good SAK or multi tool is what I would want (if I were still in) and a tough fixed blade like a Becker Crewman or the BK 7.
I carried the Grohmann jump knife, smaller than a BK but very tough.

Cheers!
