What knives debuted at Blade?

Cool:cool:

Good to know the Ronin is coming. I love Mike's, but am afraid of messing it up. Definately be getting more than one Ronin.

As for the Yojimbo, I'll wait.:(

Good to know!

Thanx,
Ed

"Hawkbill- Not sure was the ‘SpyderHawk’ concept is? Feed me more details…."

Joyce:
This is a Harpy-type blade (only larger) which MAY be housed in an Endura FRN handle. Dubbed unofficially in a thread as the SpyderHawk. Basically a utility piece with multi-task potential.

Hi Hawkbill,

Hmmmm, had not heard it referred to as the SpyderHawk before- great name!

We have a larger plainedge version of the Harpy (yes, it does have an Endura handle). It is a concept knife at this time. We have no definite plans or manufacturing scheduled. I'll keep you updated if that changes!

Thank you Joyce:

I really think this concept would be well-received by the public, but can you say whether it was or wasn't favorably regarded at Blade? Just curious, as the plain-edge vs serrated issue went around extensively.

Brian,

When I talked with Sal about this knife, he said if they did it, it would probably be a limited run with serrated blade. Definitely needs to happen!

Thanks, Mike:

I appreciate the update. As has been the case, the limited run will whet the appetites of folks who will then clamor for full-production...and what I hope would eventually be a companion to the standard Harpy in catalogs to come. If the Matriarch can survive in the open market, why wouldn't this?
