What knives do you have that just fall short?

Gotta be the Case Pawnee. This was on a Whitetail deer back in the 80s. It looked so good and the handle felt good too. I even liked the sheath. I have kept it around since then as a constant reminder to myself to never buy another Case knife.

Don't flame me for this please!:p My Waved Endura. I just don't like it. Don't know why?

No flames from me....

While I love the wave feature, I don't like the handle design....it's not very comfortable to me.
I like the handle of the old Endura much better.

benchmade 710 i heard so many great thinks about it on the forums but alas it just did not do it for me, so i got the mini Rukus three weeks later. I just couldnt get the recurve on the 710 as sharp as i wanted, but dont get me wrong it is still a great knife and fell just short of my expectations.

Gerber Big Rock - - bought a few years back on a whim at REI while buying other stuff on the way out the door. Can't believe I bought this thing, and can't imagine why. Maybe I needed a 'knife fix' that day and any knife within reach would do ? (I also think I had some rebate money coming to me.) - -

I want to add one. Decades ago I saw a very nice Schrade in a store display in a town I have never been back to and was just passing through. I bought it, or so I thought. The clerk put a Schrade box in my bag, and I'd like to think he made an honest mistake. The next morning 200 miles away I opened the box and discovered a Schrade 152 instead of the unknown number I thought I had been buying. I still have the 152 in my junk knife box and it quickly became one of the most useless knives I ever wore. That silly point just kept getting in the way and snagging on things I didn't want to puncture. Anyway, Schrade Oldtimer Sharpfinger 152.. A useless shape.

Fell back to a Buck until it snapped and I went with something else...

Let's see: Putting on the flame suit first

ANYTHING Kershaw----I will never buy another.

Spyderco Native--poor ergo's and doesn't have the heft and feel of the kindred Endura and Delica.

Glad someone else feels the same way about the Native. I lost mine, which was too bad because I was out a few bucks worth of knife, but other than that I don't miss it.

The quality and/or ergos just aren't there-----they have been nothing but a disappointment for one reason or another.

Yep! I agree! I have had several Kershaws and for one reason or another they were a disappointment. Either they came with that silly idea of using "sandpaper" for handle material which ate up everything in pockets from my car remote and keys to other pocket knives that were laying in the bottom of the same pocket or my knuckles as I would try to get something out of my pocket. And I just couldn't get over those "big ugly pocket clips" they use on most of their knives. Then I bought a China made "Vapor." I thought, "well at least it doesn't have the sandpaper handles." Pure junk! Blade would dull on pocket lint! Frame lock was traveling all they way across and hitting the opposite side handle after only a few months of use. Always for one reason or another Kershaws always disappointed me and I sold them shortly after receiving them.,,,VWB.

Everyone has there own oppinions but I love my Spyderco Native, I carry one everyday and its never failed me. Now I dont know about kershaw cause I have only had 2 of them and I never used them I just gave them away to my nephews. Now to the poster that said somthing about the Rat-3, hey Ill buy it for a good price. I want one really bad. I have a TAK and although I like it,its just to heavy. Now for what I hate.ANYTHING MADE BY FROST. I just recently found out that HEN N ROOSTER is owned by Frost and it made me very sad. I love Hen and Rooster................
