What knives do you recommend for the deer hunter

1) As others have said, $60 isn't much to spend on a custom knife. You might get lucky and find a maker at a gun or knife show who is just starting out that is selling at that price, but most established makers probably charge a bit more. Landi or Blind Horse might have something in that price range and both are well regarded makers.

2) Anza makes a quality knife, assuming you don't want stainless.

3) My experience with gutting and skinning 2-4 deer annually is that a dropped point blade is the best and most versatile shape for a deer hunter. I really like the Beretta Loveless dropped point hunter, and Queen makes a nice one in D2 steel with a choice of handle materials. The Queen can be had for right around $60 and the zytel handled Beretta for $45 or so.

Thanks guys for all input. I Ended up buying a new Anza with a stag handle and a 2" blade for $45.00 its a nice little knife and it came with a good quality sheath.
