What knives do you wish you still owned, here are some of mine.

Never liked the rainbow finished Kershaws myself.

I have a 9 variation collection of Shallots but never bought the rainbow variation because of that. Hate the look of it and won't buy one for any price even if it would "complete" the collection.
I don’t blame you. I saw a rainbow leek at a local mall, years ago, for $100+, and it kinda looked like a gas station knife TBH. I like my CF 154 leek and my regular 14C colored versions.
Only have 1 Shallot, a black version, and it’s a cool knife. Idk how I’d ever sharpen it lol but it looks good in the box

For me a Bowie with a 6 inch blade I bought from a crappy discount store when I was around 14 in the early 60s. I remember it said Solingen Germany on the blade. Leather sheath with metal around it. Paid around 3 bucks for it. I traded it for a gravity knife I thought was really cool. kickin my ass to this day. probably had a good carbon blade on that knife. Guess we all have some regrets

I have this old Edgemark Solingen Bowie I found in the dumps and restored to its mostly its former glory. I bought a 7$ sheath off Knifecenter that fits it snugly. I tested the steel a bit, it rusts very easy but is quite tough, and a very good looking small bowie...can take a nice edge, no blade movement.

I'd be happy to ship it to you, no money needed, if you promise to take good care of it and not let it rust into a toothpick :)

Let me know friend.

My Grandfathers Ontario 499 from his time in service.

My father offered it to me many years ago. He stated that a family friend had seen it, and asked if they could have it to restore. The leather was in very poor condition, but the blade was fine, it just had a deep patina. At the time I reluctantly agreed and it was given away.

I should have kept it, left it as it was, and put it in a display case.

These are replacements, but I wish I still had my original Opinel from 1988, and my original Okapi from 1990.

I still have even older knives from “back in the day”, but these would be special due to the places and circumstances of their acquisition.

Thank you for the offer but would rather see you hang onto it. Had a similar knife made by P.I.C from W. Germany with bone. Bought it when I was around 11 years. Probably under $3 way back then. Trying to build a small but quality collection lately but notice prices for the Benchmade and Emerson knives are not cheap but offer some great quality.

I bought a Kusan Oda tanto back in the late 80's. It had a very traditional Japanese tanto blade shape which sloped quickly to a keen point (not like the chisel sword point that's often called "tanto" now), and a minimal modern double guard instead of a tsuba. The grip was shaped somewhat like Spyderco's Watu and covered with something similar to vulcanized rubber which gave the user a very secure grip even when wet, and the sheath was the work of a master leathersmith. I really, really liked that blade and seldom used it, keeping it sharp for self-defense purposes.

The house we were renting burned in '90 due to a faulty fireplace and along with it my Oda knife, along with a nearly NIB Smith & Wesson Model 49 that was made so early in that model's history that it had only a four digit serial number. It had a trigger pull and cylinder lockup that felt like a factory-tuned custom and was a perfect pairing for the tanto. Pretty much everything else we lost in the wing that burned so completely was replaceable, but I would have readily traded a room full of furniture not to have lost those pieces. I rarely get attached to firearms or knives, but those two were each simply perfect for their intended use.

EKA Swede 88 with the plain smooth bubinga handle. Definitely regret getting rid of it, the modern version of the knife looks extremely tacky to me and the price has approximately tripled since 2011 I think.
