What knives/knife gear you have re-purchased?

I have an AG Russell Hunters Scalpel in my 'accumulation'. I recently bought a second one just to carry.

I always replace my lost Opinel knives. They seem to go fast.

lotsa multiples, BM stryker X3, cuda maxx X3, MT SOCOM elite X3, BM AFCK X7, spyderco Ti ATR X2, REKAT sifu X2 (thought i had a lemon on #1, i was wrong) spyderco police X2, BM 710 X2, EKI commander X2, CQC7 X3, i tend to buy, use a while , swap, get another, etc, other than the sifu's all were great knives i swapped and just had to get another, i need another cuda maxx stilletto now lol.

My first Veile Spyderco was a plain edge. I made a mistake, and took it to a local sharpening guy, and he ruined it. He just ground the heck out of it. I then bought a full serrated one that is terrific.
As for the Ca. Auto's, I was so enthralled when I first saw it while on the road, that I bought 3 of them.{ $79.95- I must have made some sales that day}I gave two as gifts, and made one a user. Six months later I bought a 4th to save in my non user collection. They have a web site under caknives.com?It might be californiaknives.com ? It functions really well, and is a handy pocket knife

three knives, i love my benchmade 707 i traded for another to put away, so i can enjoy actually using my first one on a day to day basis..
the same with my calypso jr.
i also rebought a CRKT rolllock 2 as a friend " borrowed " mine.

I am curious what knives or knife gear you have purchased once, used up/lost/broke/whatever, and then re-purchased? Also, why ddid you re-purchase the gear? Might be an informative post!
I had a Syderco Police model with the aluminum handle that I somehow managed to loose once. :( At that time the aluminum handled version was OOP, so I spend quite a bit of time tracking down one. I finally found a replacement and have been quite careful with it ever since.

I think the only other knife I ever lost and replaced was a couple of tiny Victorinox Classics. I had tried to pocket carry these little knives, but after the second one went missing (probably just fell out of my pocked when I was fishing for change of something) I just put the third one on my key chain and bought a larger (and harder to loose!) knife for my pocket. ;)

I'm on my second Spyderco Atlantic Salt. I torqued out the clip on one side, so I replaced the knife. I just ordered a 2nd LM Squirt S4, after I buggered the scissors trying to cut a wire that turned out to be much tougher than I expected (plus it's all chipped and ugly). I can't count how many Micras or V'nox Classics I've gone through over the years. I gave my grey FRN Calypso Jr. to a coworker after I got a couple ZDP-189 ones.

The only knife I've sold, only to purchase another was a Woodard Fer De Lance. Bought it for $190, sold it (used) for $150 because I needed money to buy a MT Scarab. I love my Scarab, but I always missed the FDL, until I snagged a replacement (exactly the same verson too) off ebay for a mere $130 (IMO, the FDL is a bargin even at $200).

I also just ordered my 3rd Photon. Went from a white PII to a white PIII, but now since I have an ARC AAA, I'm switching to a red PIII. I kinda want a purple (or true UV) one, if only for the blacklight effect.

Off topic, but I've re-purchased probably 2 dozen CDs after wearing out (scratching) my original copies. Beatles and Frank Zappa mostly.

I've ended up rebuying the following:
-NUMEROUS Spyderco Dragonflys- have owned about 5 but given a few away
-Spyderco Calypso Jrs
-SpecOps THE WALLET- had the original stolen

Good Thread!

For me, over the years, I think it's been SAK's and Mini-Maglites (AA ones). I keep misplacing them, buying new ones, and typical to good ole' Murphy, they show up. I have bought a couple of "backups" because they have been either handy or someday collectable. Ka-Bar/Dozier Folding hunter and Spyderco Meerkat. I also have a 100th anniversary Buck 110 in addition to my regular 110.

SAKS, specifically my Tinker and super Tinker. In fact I try to keep two of each on hand "just in case"

I buy Opinels a lot. Any time I come upon a #8 at a good price I buy it, specially if it has olive wood or oak handles. I modify them a lot (I like #9 and #10 because I can take out more steel and wood and still end up with a usable size knife) and give them out on trips, except for a couple of them to which I've grown attached.

SAKs are another thing I seem to buy almost weekly. I had a Huntsman for a long time and bought another one to replace it, then bought a Lite version, then different scale colours. And don't even get me started on Alox...

There are some great custom balisongs from an Argentinian maker that I can't seem to get enough of, too.

I've owned and traded away 3 Spyderco Natives, and finally decided to keep the S30V one, for good. I've always liked the knife, but it has always been an easy knife to trade for others, and being limited in $$$, I tend to keep 'em moving.

I've also owned and traded/sold 3 Sebenzas. Just too much money tied in one knife, so I usually went for multiple knives. When I have more money, I will buy one, and keep it.
