For me, a Leatherman Wave and a Kabar Dozier. I finally got a second Wave because it seemed like the one I had was always in the truck when I needed it in the house, and vice versa. Now I have two and one stays in the truck full time.

The Dozier is just so I always have a pocket friendly locking knife with me. I work in an office so EDCing anything more menacing than a small slipjoint raises eyebrows.

My Leatherman Wave stays in the car. Of course I have the same problem, never have it in reach when its needed.

I keep my Leatherman Wave in my glovebox. It's handy, but I don't like it enough to EDC it, and it would be better on a car than a regular SAK (large pliers, I wouldn't mind prying a little etc).

I always leave a multi-tool in the truck, either a Gerber or a Leatherman. There are usually two folders in the center console, a griptilian and a gerber airframe? In the glove box i keep a fixed blade SOG. Usually i have my duffel bag with me and that typically has a folder and a custom fixed blade from Okuden.

Let's see...my car has three "glove boxes". One on the dash below the climate control, one between the bucket seats and one in the middle of the back seat that folds up.
In the climate control box is an open Spyderco Merlin. The one between the front seats has a Spyderco Dodo, a Kershaw Storm II and a Buck/Mayo Hilo. The back seat has a large Cold Steel Nogales Voyager. In the trunk are two of my file knives. A large 8.5" spear point Bowie model in a Kydex sheat and a 5" blade Puukko style fixed also in a Kydex sheath. I have to take these two out on occassion and sand and oil the blades as it can get kinda hot and humid back there and they get a bit of rust now and again. I like having them back there because one never knows when a good fixed blade will come in handy.

some Mtechs live in my truck.
one cliped in each door pouch. there for emergencies.

Gerber 600 Multi-plier, glove compartment
Gerber Magnum, same
Sears Craftsman knife (designed by Onion), tool box in the trunk

These are for those nasty road jobs and I don't mind losing or destroying them.

I keep a few in my truck.

Spyderco Yojimbo
Cold Steel Recon Tanto
Camillus Carbon Steel CQB
Camillus ATS34 CQB2

Right now I have an orange Spyderco 79mm Rescue in the center console, Shrade multi-tool in the glovebox and a Kabar Warthog in the trunk. Though I've been meaning to swap out the Warthog for my Busse Basic 7.

Lightfoot Predator on my right side between the seat and the console, a Swiss Army knife and sometimes a folder in the console [I change them from time to timeWally Hayes custom in the trunk [I broke the tip years ago which is why it is relegated there] and an ax in the trunk too.

I keep an old LM Supertool and a cheap Finnish sheath knife in the van (which we rarely drive). In the car there is a Boker stockman with a broken small blade in the door pocket and a USAF pilot's knife in the trunk, plus whatever I'm edc-ing.

Erriksen Mora #710 from Ragnar at ragweedforge.com
don't need multi-tools because I drive a pickup with a couple hundred pounds of tools in the back.

I have a Leatherman Micra in the little catchall basket in the console...
An Old Timer 6OT in the closed console...
And a John Greco Whisper CT in the door storage area...

Good to go. :)

Let's see, the knives I keep in my truck are the following: 1. TOPS CQT Magnum 2. Benchmad Rant 3. SOG Seal 2000, which is kept behind the back seat. And I also have a Gerber multitool (green in color) also in my center console. And I am thinking about adding a Pacific Salt or D'Allara Rescue 2 knife.
