What knives would you carry in TWD?

Not sure, don't believe in zombies. Well, ok, that one guy I work with, but he may just be narcoleptic! If it came down to it, tho, the following:
Newt Livesy RTAK 10" 1095 chopper
SOG S-1 bowie for day to day stuff
2Hawks Warbeast, with at least 2 spare handles(they also work quite well for knocking the stuffing out of the cranial cavities of both living and undead antagonists)

Yeah, I know, zombie thread:)

I have seen the show, and it doesn't matter what you choose, zombie skulls are apparently as easy to penetrate as a stale waffle cone, so I will just extend my index finder and start poking.
Sure you could just poke them with your bare fingers. Or......

Be careful not to get scratched while doing your finger gouges. You will turn into a walker and your skull will start thinning. Lol

Keffeler Super Assassin (Katana)...

adamlau, that Super Assassin is gorgeous! Did you see the YouTube vid where Dan Keffeler cut trees down with one of those?

Yep. He has said in the past that his wife does not like it when he uses his blades over purpose specific tools (e.g. chainsaw) to perform such tasks

If you ever want to rehome your super assassin, PM me :D

It would be tough to choose between my Condor Golok and the Old Hickory Ellstin Limehouse replica, below. The Golok seems ideally suited for dismemberment and decapitation, but the Limehouse has an undisputable track record in that respect, at least if you believe everything you see on TV.

My next pick would be my just-acquired Mora Kansbol, except that Charlie the Poodle snagged it off my desk while I was in the can and no doubt dragged it off to his secret lair to gnaw the handle and sheath as he seems to do to all my new Moras. That leaves a number of choices, but I think in this scenario I would go with the Cold Steel Bushman, along with a broom, for its handle, of course, as a spear shaft.

Last, but not least, a SAK Farmer, for all the usual reasons.

Deadlock OTF just as a character prop like the Michonne katana but It wouldnt be a knife used to kill zombies. But the name fits and if the world is over as we know it im not waiting for a federal switchblade repeal anymore. Enough is enough at some point ya know? . :D

The knife i would carry as a zombie chomper would be a homemade knife. Id like to think that in a real life scenario of a world without law that we would go back to maki things if we could no longer find things. You would think their would be more survivors that actually have a multi faceted knowledge base. But it seems on that show no one has a skillset beyond killing something. At least not in a creative handy man type fashion. And even when they find a person with a brain like eugene no one is even witty enough to tap into those skills. So i would imagine something forged from tool steel and about 24" overall with a full tang and acid or patina finish. Maybe gun blued. I for sure am not gonna rock any gerber or green zombie inspired anything no matter how many i find.

I'd take a tomahawk or hatchet (something like my CS spike hawk) to use as a head bashing implement, any of my medium size quality fixed blades (like a Bark River Bravo 1 or a custom bowie) and a tough multitool (like a Vic SwissTool).

Not eligible for this convo. I probably would have contracted the disease while it was spreading as would about 90% of the commenters in this thread :D

That's true, never thought of that. Only those who don't know what a zombie is will survive. But they will learn what they are after multiple chest stabs and weeks later :)

I would go with these ones since I currently own these:

Estwing 26 inch camp axe
Ontario SP-1
Buck 119
CS Bowie Machete

*folding knives would not be needed in a zombie apocalypse because there would be no laws or fixed blade restrictions.
