I realize some of us cant carry the blades we want at work or must be careful about it.I am not to restricted as to what I carry at work. I was curious what you carry at your job and why you selected your chosen work carry blade?
I always have;
Spyderco tenacious clipped to left pocket
Spyderco white Endura 4
Spyderco spot neck knife around neck
Schrade old timer is left shirt pocket
Occasionally:
Victorinox supertinker
Gerber ripstop1
SOG Seal Pup IWB

I'm a System Administrator and have to wear dress pants everyday, so I only carry a Spyderco Cricket. The recurve blade is great for breaking down boxes when I get new hardware, it's light and thin, and it's classy enough to not stand out clipped to my pocket.

I work in the point of sale industry ( pc's , scanners , scales , networking ) and I can carry a hatchet if I wish ! :D

But today it is my modded Kershaw Groove. I also have a knife I made out of an old file with some ebony handle that I use for dirty work, I keep it in my toolbag.

I work in a restaurant and can carry virtually any knife I wish. I wear an apron so whatever I am carrying is concealed.

Some days my Para or Lg Sebenza other days my caly 3 or Sage 2.
Depends on the work day if I am seeing faces or doing inventory.

I have an indoor and a outdoor aspect to my job. When working indoors I am in an office environment and always have my SAK classic and delica on my key chain plus a SAK Huntsman/climber and another EDC such as my Fallkniven U2.

On the outdoor part of my job which includes going in the bush I will carry a heavy duty folder (lately a manix 2 FFG) and often a fixed blade such a Busse GW or SW RMD.

My rationale is to be prepared in the environment where i am and not needlessly scare the sheeple.

I work in a office building as an Admin Asst. and I always have my XM-18 on me. I don't really need a tank on me at work, but it's nice to know I have it if I need it.

im an EMT

I'm not limited in what blades I can carry by law/bosses, but more of what i can safely have without fear of being grabbed by patients. I also can't have a fixed blade, but need a strong folder in case I really need it. So after trying many blades, I am currently using a Boker Plus Jim Wagner RBB (drop point version not one of those silly tantos) in my RFP. I attached the "false pen top" end on it instead of the window breaker (we are supplied with our own spring loaded window breakers) and i painted the false pen top AND the clip white. Then I put on a layer of nail polish so it is shiny (looks like plastic) and water repellent. The white paint REALLY makes it look like a pen and and if I need it, I have a 3.8 in 440c drop point blade (which I ground off some of the spine to make it actually more of a clip point) with a lockback in case I need something heavy duty. However, in the pocket it still looks JUST like a pen. (I'll post a pic later of it). Also have zip tie on it to make it "waved".

LFP: Either a grip or a kabar mini dozier (in pocket)

I can pretty much get away carrying what i want to work, however there are a few people that i wouldn't want to pull out anything aggressive looking in front of. Lately for work, i have been carrying my s30v blur or benchmade mini dejavoo, with a smaller folder such as a mnandi or an almite navigator.

i have two jobs. One, installing custom all wood doors and window's for a very reputable company ( Yarrow Sash & Door) i carry my leatherman core and either one of my opinel's or my Spyderco delica. My other job is a resturant. ( Hu's on first Asian Bistro ) And there i carry a small (#8) Opinel or my leatherman C33LX folder :D

I'm a signmaker, I can carry pretty much whatever I like. Most of the time, I'll have a Spyderco Military and one of those OLFA utility knives on me.

I carry a Victorinox Bantam Alox every day, including at work in business settings, because it's thin, light, innocuous looking and sized perfectly for everyday light-duty tasks. It also looks snazy.

I lately have been carrying two knives. I carry one smaller less scary knife to use in front of people. Lately it's this

I work in the kitchen of a restaurant, so the best option I've found is the Sypderco Pacific Salt. It will come in contact with a lot of acidic things like vinegar and also cleaning chemicals, so it's great to not worry about corrosion and more importantly, to be able to clean it out easily without worrying about internal parts being damp. My hands will usually be wet and/or oily, so I appreciate the good traction on the handle.

I always carry a multi-tool and folder at work. I rotate between about a dozen folders every few weeks. The LM Core is my beefy M/tool of choice these days. My type of work allows me to carry these where knives would not otherwise be allowed. I consider myself fortunate:)

For work, I carry a HAK on my weak-side (For weapon retention) as I EDC a handgun. Strong-side has been a Buck Vantage Pro, but for many yrs, it was an unwaved Emerson CQC7.

Off-work, I usually carry the same, but also a slip-joint, for when I'm around a group of people that might get "offended."

I work in copy/blueprint workshop and usually carry some sort of "gentleman folder" or victorinox folder. At the moment I have swiss champ and I have taken it ouf of my pocket at work that it doesn't gather sweat and there has been no panic sofar. :)

Pretty much excellent "pocket tool box" that doesn't scare anyone but offers more than excellent everyday kit.
