What Knocks Your CRK Out of Your Pocket?

(I think there is an old post on this subject, but didn't know how to search for it.)

I carry a CRK 90% of the time. My main EDCs are a Mnandi at the office and at home I rotate between a small Regular, small Classic, and Inkosi with other ones including larges and a Zaan on standby.

So what does occasionally replace my CRK in my pocket? There are occasions where I know I will be misusing a knife and grab a "junk" knife that I don't care if it gets further damaged or ruined. I do like to slip a TA Davison, along with some other traditionals, in my pocket once in a while. And of course if I think beer may be involved I will carry a GEC Gun Scout or Beer Scout.

Mainly door jams, and sometimes snagging on a seatbelt

Hahaha this!!! ^^^

And very occasionally my all Ti Xm-18 3.5 inch slicer (which I had reground by Josh at Razor Edge Knives so it will actually cut stuff), or my Les George VECP or Talos.

I carry a Sebenza about 85% of the time and an Umnumzaan about 5-10% of the time though.

nothing. if I carry something else, it's something like an SAK or GEC. something to compliment the Sebby. I don't see my Large 21 being knocked out of the front pocket for a loooong time.

I'm waiting on my large 21 to come back from the mothership. Aside from that not a whole lot. I recently picked up a 3" XM non flipper that I'm liking quiet a bit, it will probably see some pocket time. Just about everything else has been sold.

Knocked itself out of the pocket when (I assume) the lanyard caused the edge in that spot to corrode in a chiplike fashion. I chopped the lanyard off, and now it sits around waiting for me to get around to fixing it.

I carry my Inkosi about 85% and Mnandi 5-10%. I also have a XM-18 3" Warncliffe that I am thinking of having reground by Josh. From the factory the edge profile is a bit too thick to be a good slicer. After getting it I know understand better why CRK hollow grinds...

The CRK hollow grind is a thing of great beauty.

My "others" may be a bit more pedestrian than some of you. I still have several Benchmades that I'm fond of, and will occasionally slip into my pocket. Most often, though if it's not the Um, the 25, or the small 21, it would be a new smaller ZT that I really, really like (0450CF). Or the Southern Grind Spider Monkey (ok, fine, I have 2 of them).

I'm learning to live my CRK knives, but I'm not above some of these other blades once in a while.

On any given day off there will be a CRK in my pocket almost all of the time. At work, I can't carry a knife that locks so that takes out a CRK by default...
Chris needs to make a slipjoint so one of his knives can always be with me!

A slip joint CRK would be cool!

Do it, Josh is amazing. It will give you a whole new knife that you'll love. And spring for the 220 grit, the 60 is a little rough.

If it's not another CRK, it's my 6" Zach Wood Strike Plate Titanium Prybar ( for those occasions where I am unable to carry a knife ). Simply because no other knife can come close to CRK. I do use a William Henry to open my mail, but I don't carry it.

I just got my first CRK a month ago, a Wilson/Reeve Sebenza 25. I have "several" BMs, Spydercos, ZTs that I carried regularly, depending on my mood. I've tried carrying some of the others, but I always end up switching back to the 25 before the end of the day.

Since I can't carry a Mnandi at work, I carry a small Swiss Army Knife, it has a memory stick in it, which comes in handy.
