Got my first Laguiole knife and as it is new, it certainly kicks out my CRK...... but for sure not permanently. I like it a lot and it may not be my last Laguiole. Just starting to explore this knife type and its french manufacturers a bit. Some of them are making knives at custom level, in the range of 1.000, 2.000 dollars and up. This one is quite basic, made by a knifemaker named Philippe Voissiere and costs about 250 dollars. A very traditional slipjoint knife, perfect for picnic.

A standard D2 B 710 with custom scales bumps my CRKs during the weekend simply because it holds an edge so much better without a touch-up. While I do love all of my multiple CRKs, Benchmade's D2 steel holds an edge so much longer than my Insingo is used only during the week for light use.
