What lube do you use?

I use tri-flo. It's a teflon based senthetic lubricant. I first learned of it years ago when I worked at a bike shop. I use it on the pivots and moving parts but I use mineral oil on non ss blades.

I've never had to use any oil on any of my Spydies...ever. I do use food-grade mineral oil on my Sm Seb, but I wish it was as maintenance-free as my Spydies in that regard.

I use the CRK flourinated grease on anything with washers. Two small dabs on the blade side of the washers. On washerless knives, some side opening autos, and all my OTF autos I use slide oil. It's used on the slides of brass instruments like the trombone. It's odorless, tasteless, foodsafe, and weatherproof. It makes for a pretty great lube for knives.

I bought some Gun Butter type lube from a well known gun parts supplier due to a tip given on the forum. It works great at the pivot. If I am just wiping down the blade, I use Rem Oil or Kroil. Kroil will remove any residue from the blade (like the sticky gunk from cutting open taped boxes).
