I'd been collecting about two years and was up to 35 or so, mainly Benchmade but a little of everything that I would never buy again.

Kept hearing about Sebenzas but the price kept me away. Then heard all the buzz about the 25, looked intriguing and decided to get one but man were they hard to find, let alone get. Stayed up all night online looking, literally, but everyone was sold out.

Finally found one about 6 in the morning. Called and sure enough, he'd gotten two in the day before after waiting for over six months for them to arrive. He decided to keep one and was getting ready to put the other one online. I bought it 2 minutes after they opened.

That got me hooked. Next was a large micarta lefty Sebenza, then a large micarta Insingo within a week. Three CRKs in two weeks. About broke me but man, each one is so cool!

I got a new pivot lefty Zaan in yesterday, and in the morning I'm purchasing an old pivot style right handed Zaan. So two Zaans in roughly a week's time.

Now I need to run from Mnandis!
 
I'm not a collector per se. About fifteen years ago a friend "borrowed" my little Gerber folder and bent the tip so, for the first time in 15 years I went knife shopping. A year and change along I had purchased at least a Sebenza's worth of other blades without finding what I wanted. I started searching the Internet instead of the sporting goods stores and found this forum and like so many others kept running across the Sebenza. Bought a small, used ebony inlay Sebenza but wasn't completely happy with it in my pocket so purchased a new small regular . . . perfect EDC for Levis or similar wear.

I've sold off all the other folders and even the CRKs I never carry anymore. I have my Mnandi, my Sebbie and my fixed blades for the field. Indeed, what more could I need?
 
I'm not for sure but I think I was looking for info on knife sharpening and came across a YouTube video where the guy was demonstrating with a CRK. I had never heard of them so I checked out the CRK website and drooled for the next ~1 1/2? years. Finally broke down and received my first CRK, a small Sebenza, Monday (4/7/14)! Now trying to figure out my next one - leaning towards the Mnandi - and how I am going to pay for it.... Also regretting I didn't get it sooner.

I came around this forum area for a few years looking at the knives and didnt know what all the hype was about. they were simple and boring. then i did a ton of reading one month and ended up making the decision to get one. I still hadn't found that "perfect" edc before purchasing it. I bought a large cf 21 from knifeart and fell in love with it. It is the standard by which i compare my other knives. Buying it actually made me realize how much i also love my cabelas d2 griptilian and my all black spyderco military. I carry those 3 knives the most out of my collection.
