What makes a lockback "Traditional"?

That being said is a Case Mid Folding Hunter a traditional knife? It has a clip, and a thumbstud, and it was introduced in 2003 so maybe not.
Personally, I would say no. The date is was introduced does not really matter in my mind. There are certainly makers who create new knives every year that are every bit as traditional as the oldest Case, Schrade, etc. patterns.

The Case Mid Folding Hunter does have a generally traditional style, but the features are (IMO of course) very non-traditional. Same for the Case Trapper Lock. A fairly traditionaly styled knife (looking much like the Case Slimline Trapper) but to my mind the thumb-stud and liner-lock move it out of the truely traditional catagory.
