What makes the velvicut axes so much more?

Is it fit and finish? Or is it also alloy, heat treat?

Trying to decide what I really want. I appreciate the responses.

They get a better steel, 5160, also a better handle/grain orientation, and I think a sheath. My HB came with a decent leather sheath.

Their handles are as nice as I've seen. Like they used to make them. Actually they're the only place I've seen full un-clipped fawn's foot handles still for sale. I wish to heck they sold the handles separately, I but a stack of them.

I believe its a combination of the steel, heat treat, and satin finish
