What MANLY thing did your (traditional) knife do today?

Used my Opinel Carbone #9 to open a box with my honey's birthday present inside.
Perfect timing . . . today is the day!!

Today the edges of both blades on my Case yellow synthetic scales trapper did their best to deteriorate the surfaces of every stone in my Lansky sharpening kit.

Cleaned five trout. Gotta love an early opener with biting fish!

congrats. i'm itching to go out fishing.

i didn't do much with my case stockman yesterday. i just cleaned and oiled her and sharpened the blades a bit.

used the sheepfoot from the case stocky to slice an orange without having to wash my hand afterwards, like all others in the canteen YEAH!

Yesterday actually- while my girl and I were out playing... she's six now, so I've started showing her proper ways to use a folder (she carried her own barlow yesterday). I had never tried one of these before, and it seemed a perfect way to show her the different ways to use the different knives I had along for the walk (and I didn't get my wife any flowers last week, which I've been trying to do). Used my RC-4 to baton this small sappling and a perfectly flat bottom so it would stand up, the punch in my cattle baron to drill the holes, and the fine edge on my barlow's pen blade to do the rest. It didn't come out quite as perfectly as I had hoped, but she loved it, and I got a bigger smile from my wife when we got home than I got with real flowers a couple of weeks ago. :)

Pretty darn nice, Jamie. And darned manly to boot, I might add!

I used my mini copperhead to cut some paracord that I used to tie the plastic bumper cover onto a lady's car. Somebody had removed the screws that held it together to steal the emblem from it and it was left hanging.
I'd love to find the person that removed the screws and emblem.

Pretty sad. Not much respect from an awful lot of people these days it seems.

Thanks Elliot. I was pretty happy with it since I'd never tried one before. :)

Used my Case Seahorse to break down 10 cardboard boxes since we are almost done moving into the new house. After a quick wash I then used it to cut up a lime for a gin tonic.

finally managed to really use my case stockman today, it's almost 2 weeks old but never uset it much

cut an orange with the sheepfoot for lunch AND for dinner it sliced an over 30cm long salami (hand made one, from the country) in thin slices with the clip blade, better than any kitchen knives at the dinner, blade was exaclty 2mm longer than the salami was in diameter LOL, it saved the appetizers serving, it also cut all the bread and package from the cake too

really appreciated that "small" knifey a lot today

it saved my day! huh?

My weed wacker is ancient, but still works aside from the line auto-feed. I manually let more out then trim the extra with a pocket knife. Today it was my Dogleg Jack.

Rode in my pocket on a bitching MC ride. Kept casual and cool, didn't do nothing. Manly. (?)

Not today, but yesterday ;)

My carl schlieper canue did cut any steaks, potatoes and sausages for sunday-afternoon barbeque. I really enjoyed that time by some beer...

Kind regards...
Andi
