D2 blade seemed very hard and cut A lot without issues but today i chopped wood and the bevels are fine edge, dulled, but didn't roll BUT the flats behind the bevel are wavy. What can cause this issue?
THANKS

A picture may help if you have one.

a wavy edge or bevel right behind the edge can be caused by twisting the knife slightly while pulling it out of dry wood you just chopped that the knife became stuck in.

I think this is what happen. Would it still happen if the heat treat was done properly? Just to much street on The steel?
THANKS

i cannot be sure. normally properly treated metal will spring back to its original position, it also depends on how much it was deformed during the chopping.

Geometry is also a consideration. Thin enough and it can deform permanently even if it's 60rc.
