Any mods have some done to there VTAC,i was thinking of a better grip on the handle(cord/snapping turtle neck skin:cool:)And any reprofileing of the edges,Thanks JBEE

Here is an earlier VTAC head I got and put a decorative handle on it. Just for show. Cocobolo and Ebony. 2001 stamped head which has been bead blasted.

My intended use for the VTAC is for(justin case was a friend of mine he was there right on time) I will work on the trail and norse hawk first and would like to put a curly maple on the FT buck hawk(VECS IS MY DREAM HANDLE) snapping turtle skin would be put on hole(not spiraly wraped) and baseball stitched,and is fairly smooth while affording a good release.guess i get to play around a bit,will keep you posted and thanks for the replys.JBEE

we're doing some VTACs right now - i'll pop a picture when i get done experimenting, if anyone wants - wish us luck.

much appreciated, brother.

the tricky, counter-intuitive thing about handling the VN hawk family is that there are so many ways to do it correctly, not so few;

Craig Barr hatchet heads (they are too massive to be called hawks IME) are much the same.
