I'd like to get a 2HP motor for this project. I believe the motor has to have a C-face, 56 Frame (and 3 Phase of course). I also seem to recall reading something about the importance of shaft length. Can someone recommend a specific motor that's known to work well? I'd prefer a Leeson motor since I have several already. However, I'm open. Thanks in advance.

56c, 3Ph, 220v, TEFC...

I believe my shaft length is around 2" maybe 2-1/8"? 2-1/2"-3" or more would be better.. I have one of the Elektrimax motors Wayne Coe sells... It just barely grabs the shaft with the set screw on the drive wheel. If it was longer, it would make a lot of the alignment work on the idler and tracking wheels easier.
