One of the reasons I gave up bicycling was that bikes hate me and I hate fixing them.Old pic but the situation was the same. Not a great week of luck with bike hardware. Snapped a gear cable on Wednesday and then 6 miles into 30, broken spoke this morning. The CS4 assisted in both roadside hacks and still got my miles in.

Yup, no way around it, if you ride a lot you will need to perform regular maintenance or fork over a ton of money to have a shop do it. I actually really like working on my bikes, to a certain extent. It is kind of like sharpening in the knife hobby. If you use your knives, you are going to need to sharpen them and perform other maintenance. One of the reasons I gave up bicycling was that bikes hate me and I hate fixing them.I’ll reconsider when they invent tired that don’t get flat by just thinking of gravel.
Luckily there are these rental bikes these days.
I do love the Kick. A while back I went on a Kick buying spree. You use to be able to get them pretty cheap used on the bay. Not so much now as prices have increased beyond what I think a used tool should cost. Still though, I think I have three of them "kicking" around. I keep one right in the kitchen drawer as my go to "something might need fixing" around the house tool I grab whenever need something even if I don't know for what.Still the kick, a couple of classics
