What non-bali knives do you own/carry?

A few threads got me wondering what non balisong knives balisong owners carry or use. Might be interesting to see if any trends emerge. Guess I'll start.

What I carry around rotates with choices among the following:
A Spyderco Lum, Spyderco BF Native (partially serrated), Spyderco CPM 440v Native (also partially serrated), MT MA Kestrel, Spyderco Cricket, BM 710, and a Spyderco Spydercard. Sometimes I'll also have a SAK. Also have a MT MA SOCOM with tanto blade on order from 1 Stop Knife Shop that I'm waiting to be delivered.

I also have a S&W SWAT folder (partially serrated) that was my first "real" knife that I never carry or really use anymore.

I'm rarely without my Benchmade AFCK. I typically have my famous Leatherman PST. And I usually have one or two other surprises about me

Balisongs -- because it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!

Leatherman micra on the keys, or in the pocket if i don't need my keys. LM PST in my bag if i'm away from the house, in my pocket if i know i'll need it, or in the desk if I know i won't.

Usually a bali (Jag) in the pocket, soon to be replaces by (a 42) Waxless concealex on the hip.

Used to carry and Endura, but that usually is reserved for river and back country trips
now.

Just (as of a few weeks ago) received a CRKT point guard. The small serrated one. Love it, and its usually in my left pocket, unless I'm somewhere in "nice cloths", when its all i carry in my right.

Generally the bali and the micra.

In addition to the 3 balis I got on Friday, I also got the little gravity knife as shown on KnifeZilla.

I also have 4 switchblades (2 stilettos, one cheap OTF, one Mangusta (see www.skm.to)).

I have a made in China simple lock knife which the wood in the handles has broken off of. I can snap it open with one hand. It is suitable for prying stuff apart and not much more.

I have one of those "Mini German Paratrooper Knife Replicas", which I bought downtown. I can still open it with one hand far faster than the balis, and yet it was legal for me to buy it. Hmmm...

Lastly, the only knife I own that I carry all the time, my Swiss Army Knife. And, the tool I use the most on it ... the little leather awl.

I like living somewhere where I dont have to feel the need to carry weapons for defensive purposes.

Usually I carry a Gerber multitool, a Sak and rotate with a Stryker, AFCK, Endura, and sometimes an Ascent.

A real knife collector is always broke.

- Benchmade 975SBT (tanto combo edge)
- MT Auto mini SOCOM (tanto, combo edge)
- Spyedrco "police" (fully serrated0
- When I go camping i carry my Buckmaster
- Letherman Crunch on the way

I dont carry all of these at once...it's more of a how the mood suits me

I am a Crawford fan and my daily user is a REKAT Carnivour. ALthough when going to the gym I usually carry my Emerson La GRiffe or AFCK.

What I want to knw is what pistols Balislingers like?

When I do feel that my butterfly is either too big or is not welcome I choose to carry my old bechmade panther. Old but very nice, plain edge of course. I find serrated edges very ugly, I dislike serrations to the point I have my own plain edge steak knife for home.

Since my BM 44s "dissapeared" due to legal issues, I carry a Benchmade auto-Stryker, and depending on the situation, a Ka-Bar Next Generation Tanto.

In response to Susan, while I can't own a handgun before I'm 21 in the People's Republic of Maryland (well, legally anyways) I have to say that a Glock 18 has a pretty high drool factor for me . . . 3 round bursts out of a pistol that can take a 33 round mag . . . Too bad that I wouldn't be able to legally get one even after turning 21 . . .

But back to my original post, looks like quite a number of non-bali BM knives. Course, that's also pretty standard for BF in general

Some of the knives I own:
About 10 spydercos (I love spydies), some spyderco is usually my daily carry knife.
3 Cold Steel tantos (Oyabun 9", Kobun, original tanto), a CS push dagger, a CS SRK, a CS Voyager 4"
Nepalese Kukri
2 Mauser 98 bayonets (long and regular size)
Boker Applegate/Fairbairn, AF boot.
Sheffield handmade Fairbairn-Sykes
Al Mar Shadow (large one)
Glock Fighting/Survival
KA-BAR kabar
A few Victorinox SAK
Benchmade Mini Spike
A few Eriksson Luna (incredibly cheap, high-quality knives - best throw away/**** up knives I know of)
Marttiini large (about 24") Lapinleuku
Two Helle hunting knives
Probably 10-20 knives more, I´m tired of typing and recalling
SniperBOY,
I am not legally allowed to carry handguns, CCWs are very hard to get in Austria, but my choice would either be a Glock (17 or one of the micro-Glocks in 45.ACP) or a CZ 75.

Carry a BM 710 Axis or Emerson Commander. I leave my auto's at home , although lately I've been carrying my new Microtech UDT. No CCW here, but I have a HK USP Tactical (for defense), a Desert Eagle .44 (for fun!),and an Armalite Car-15 for everything else.

My daily carry is a BM330; plain blade. It's small, but handles 95% of everything I need a knife for. I rarely feel the need to carry a knife for protection anymore. I don't get into the crazy situations I used to. I must be getting old. If I do, I bring my BM350bt. Also kind of small, but clipped to the inside of my waist band, nobody knows it's there.

I like to carry either my custom Apogee Illusion, Vallotton Chameleon, or Emerson Commander. Before I aquired these I carried a Spyderco Worker that I bought when they were new in 1987; still got it , just a 'little' used. Thanks for asking!

As for the pistolas: Springfield .45 1911A1, built by me, with my "don't ever leave home without it" .32 Seecamp as back-up.

Hi!

Interesting this...
Most often i carry any or several of these:
-Emerson Commander
-Emerson CQC-7.
-Emerson La Griffe (always, except when sleeping)
-Microtech DA Socom
-Microtech Halo III
-Microtech Kestrel auto
-Spyderco Military
-Spyderco Delica
-Spyderco Civilian
-Benchmade AFO
-Benchmade AFCK
-Benchmade Stryker auto
-CRK&T KFF
And quite often at least two balisongs, lately i've come to carry my Benchmade custom Elishewitz a lot, great knife!

Hm...guns!
I'd prefer a Glock, maybe a # 18 or one of the sub-compacts, NOTE: CCW is a no-go in Sweden so that doesn't happen, don't even own one, but Glocks is the issue sidearm for the Swedish military so that's the gun i'm most familiar with.(H&K P7 is a VERY nice gun too)
When i'm in uniform i usually carry my KSP-90 (SAW-249) that leaves knives as secondary defense options...
wink.gif

Now i'm rambling!

Be well!/Jonas aka 2Sharp
