What other hobbies are you guys into?!?

Buckle up, off we go to Community.
Funny :D
... photography, water access camping & camp-travel, paddling, gardening & property maintenance, volunteering where I can best contribute ... managing the mutts - grooming included. So now I know how to sharpen the dematting tool!

Knives have never been a hobby. They have been valued tools. I have used them without thought over my lifetime on farm and in the wilderness ... and, only since BF, have I come to understand and appreciate the nuances and beauty, steel, edge, utility of knives so much more.

Reading, cooking, hiking, travel, gardening (food forest, gorilla, permaculture), foraging, strategic shopping aka couponing to save more $ for knives and cuddling kitties are some ways I pass time. I do enjoy learning new things and take classes when I can. I'll be testing for my HAM licence soon. I'm hoping to find a wilderness first aid course. This weekend I'll probably be taking a suturing class. Orienteering looks like fun so that is on my short list to learn more about. I guess my interests are all over the place.

Guess I have a few but the main are

Firearms
Photography
Scuba Diving
Archery
Camping
Computers/tech in general

Does knife making count? Been doing that for 5 years. Been doing leathercraft for 22 years. I also mentor people who are in early sobriety.

On all counts ... big points in my book of life, Charlie M

Traditional archery is my passion, followed closely by hunting, fishing, hiking, camping etc. You can include knives in all of my hobbies!

Is netflix a hobby?:D

Apart from knives I've always been big into music....mostly just listening now, but I got my first guitar in 5th grade, and since branched into bass guitar, and even mandolin and fiddle, which I'll dust off and dick around with from time to time. I also love a good beer, or whisky (or whiskey, for that matter).

I'm into leather crafting but I'm in college and looking for a job so I don't really have the time or resources to buy tools, equipment, and leather.
When I do find a job, I might take it into a hobby.

I made one leather sheath before, with crude tools like forks, x-acto knives, and sewing needles.

I'm also an amateur chemist.

I graduated with a teaching degree in art and maintain a pottery studio. Gardening. Firearms. Cats. BF got me hooked on restoring axes recently. Enjoyed watching my daughter participate in fastpitch softball from 8 and under to DII. Remodeling/construction. I enjoy being out in the woods - that is, when you can find them in my part of the country. Helped my son become a proficient pitcher/2nd baseman on the HS team. Tried very hard to keep all the kids(4) on the straight and narrow and so far have succeeded(for the most part).

My main hobbies:

1.) Table Tennis - i compete on the NCAA level.
2.) Audiophile Listening Equipment - i enjoy listening to music
3.) Singing and playing guitar - more a singer, really. my guitar skills are so basic
4.) Shopping - i love fashion and shoes, especially
5.) Only cause you said "besides knife collecting/using", i'm throwing in knifemaking. I'm starting up gaining more and more knowledge that will soon manifest itself in my very own custom knife workshop.

I'm all over the place with my hobbies and i love it.

What other hobbies are you guys into besides knife collecting/using? I myself enjoy axe restoration, wood working, guns and martial arts. TFS

Long-hunting, camping, hiking, play the bagpipes [for 30 years now], got 3 kids, some woodworking, leather-crafting and soon I'm going to be building a forge to make knives.

Outside of knives, my main interests are:
younger women
faster horses
older whiskey
more money
:)

Me and the wife keep reptiles and we do safari's photographing wildlife when we can.

I also like fishing, hiking, mushroom and wild edible hunting and gardening. Recently I've been bitten by the Bonsai bug so I have a couple in the works. Mine are nothing more than potted plants right now but soon...

Good fun the old KNO3 and Suger.

Made my little sister some of these for her class, she is a new teacher (Science), recently. Even made her a remote "detonator" :)

Used to make those for paintball. Had to get creative with "electric/rocket matches" though because of the field's "no open flame" policy on smoke fuses.

Good times....I had an awesome childhood now that I think of it.....:)
