What outdoor skills are you working on at this time ?

I guess that I am confused. Bears and coyotes scavenge any kill that they come across. It conserves their energy and helps to assure survival, particularly in extreme climates.
You are correct. I'm sorry upnorth, my original post was done in jest, and I thought.....I thought the tone was obvious. I've been laid up in bed for a week due to a back injury and that was the only thing I could think of that was remotely close to an outdoor skill...and since I'd not showered in a few days (due to the injury) that was what popped into my head and traveled out my fingers. Probably should have put a ;) there so everyone would know I wasn't serious. I figured that the post just reeked (pun intended) of snark, and I apologize for my misjudgment. Plus, you know....maybe it was the pain meds.
I'm not working on any outdoor skills presently, 'cause I'm trapped indoors. Unless googling videos about how to make primitive bows or or watching Ray Mears videos counts. Which I am quite sure does not. Imma stay outta this thread until I have something relevant to add.

No prob bud. I am not the brightest star in the galaxy, that's for sure. :D
Please realize that often when I come on here I have had hours outside in the cold air and the old boy isn't that sharp. Sometimes I look back and realize that I didn't understand something, didn't explain something correctly, have hideous typos\grammar etc. Please do not censor yourself, all opinions are welcome and we are all human. I learn from all of you, all the time.

I'm working on nighttime stalking, shooting, and field butchering wild hogs. The 3-4 hour walks until 0200 (2 AM) are also good for my fitness as we head into winter.

Always working on fire, because I get cold easy. I'm also working on physical fitness.

Oh and I'm working on not overloading myself with gear I don't use.

and walking quietly in the woods.

and knife skills/safety.
