What part of knife to Engrave on a ZT0301?

Hello, I just purchased a new ZT0301 as a wedding gift for my best man and I am wondering which part of the knife would be the best part to get engraved without creating sharp edges or possibly damaging or creating a place that could rust the blade metal. I am concerned about creating hot spots on the G10 scales as well.

Maybe there's another way to do this?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Here are some pictures of the gift for my buddy:

Polish the clip and have the clip engraved.
That looks like the best place. Or just leave it be. The knife is a great gift in itself. My brother in law got me a kershaw leek as a best man gift. He put my initials on it.

Clip is a great idea! Engraving usually goes on the blade, but I wouldn't do it on that one.
Congrats on the wedding and that is a great gift bro!

Thank you guys for the suggestion about the clip, I'll definitely check out getting that polished and engraved. Any suggestions on where to look to get that polished professionally?

A Dremel and some Flitz polish may work well if you'd like to do it yourself. Not sure about the engraving though. Me, personally, I'd probably want to get a professional to do the engraving since it's a gift. Beautiful ZT man...what a classic design! Never gets old on the eyes. And congrats on the marriage too!

Why engrave it at all? With a knife like that and the occasion its given for, he will always remember why and how and who gave it to him. It actually may ruin the knife for him if you engrave it. Me personally, i wouldnt want it engraved. Plus it saves you the trouble and possibility of messing the knife up too. Sorry if im over steppng here, just thought someone should say it.

I had a new waved Endura engraved with my son-in-law's name engraved on the top of the spine. Looked nice; no harm to blade; not picky or scratchy; doesn't look gaudy at all. He likes it; me too.

Great idea Don!
If I remember correctly, I think Brous puts his name there on some models.
I'd like it there rather than the clip, but who would do it? Maybe check out the Service thread??
