What patterns have surprised you?

Another small favorite is this 3⅜" Rough Rider Eureka stockman, a very useful and pocketable pattern.

Jeff:

What is the pattern number on those Eureka Stockmen? I never seem to be able to find them.

I have a Buck and a Colt Canoe and I,still not landed a Case Small or full sized Stock man.

I haven't tried a small stockman yet. Not sure if I will. I do like the medium, but the large is awesome. I actually carry it in a trapper sheath, and it fits better that a trapper does. I want to try a mini trapper and a peanut. I have a Buck mini trapper, but I want to get a Case.

From top to bottom
:
Brown stag bone = #407
Dark red jigged bone = #406
Yellow composition = #890
Light brown jigged bone = #372

Jeff You are the one who put me on to those RR Eureka Stockmen, very glad you did too. It's an appealing oddity and the near sunk joints are a pocket's dream. I have the Yellow D and the dark red bone that is rather plum coloured, they certainly surprised me alright (as many RR knives have, don't mind admitting) .

Thanks, Will
