What pocket knife do you carry everyday

I carried a Gerber Silver Knight every day, everywhere, from the time I bought it in early 1982, until a few months ago (more than 25 years), when I decided to try some different stuff in rotation.

Things I've tried for EDC since then:
  • Gerber Mini Paraframe
  • Buck 55
  • Buck Stockman (old 2-spring)
  • Buck Cadet
  • Schrade Uncle Henry (USA, 897UH)
  • Case XX Sodbuster JR (2137 SS)
  • Case XX Sodbuster JR (3137 - old, yellow, CV)
  • Böker small sodbuster (yellow, 1095 carbon steel)
  • Kershaw Leek (plain edge, all-metal, framelock)
  • Kershaw Vapor (plain edge, all-metal, framelock)
  • Buck 290 Platinum "Rush"
  • Buck 174 "Cutback"

Things upcoming in rotation:
  • EKA (Wenger) Executive Major (SAK with Bubinga scales)
  • Kershaw Whiskey Gap
  • Case 3254 CV (yellow trapper)
  • Buck 309 "Companion"
  • U.S. Classic Wharncliffe Half-Whittler (white bone)
  • Kissing Crane small sodbuster (maybe)
  • Cheap, no-name, green wood scales, 3-inch soddie
  • EKA Swede 82 (if I can figure out the right pocket)
  • Case 3318 CV (medium yellow stockman) -- buy first
  • Case 3220 CV (yellow-handled Peanut) -- buy first

Unless, of course, I run into some other stuff worth testing . . .

I carry my damascus folder by german Reiner Grösche almost everywhere I go!

The very best is, he made some different scales for it so I can change them just as I`m in the mood for! :p

these days... it's my benchmade mini-ritter griptillian.... man. i love this knife...

I carry a different knife everyday.Sometimes I carry a BM710D2,other times an AL MAR SERE 2000,ZT0200,Spyderco H1 Pacific(when I'm on a boat),SOG Vulcan on some days.Among many others.Like I said,It varies from day to day;)

sog twitch 2 black handle with TiNi coated blade and kershaw leek with red/black acid wash handle with a black teflon coated blade

the sogs blade feels a little sturdier since it is flat ground (or pretty close at least) compared to the leeks blade being hollow ground and the very fine tip. but the leek is a bigger blade. i havent goten a chance to get a sharpmaker but i need to, the sog is getting dull (a year of very light use under its belt so its getting time for a good sharpening) and the kershaw is sharp but it seems really toothy so i want to smooth it up a little.

both are great knives just the kershaws opening mechanism seems to deal with dust better (the sog wants to bee oiled and cleaned every few weeks when normally it doesnt do work)

Everyday at work - Victorinox SwissTool and a Spyderco Endura 4 VG-10.
When not working - Benchmade / Osborne folder.

Daily for the last few years has been a Kershaw PS Leek and a SAK Yeoman:yawn:

Not the coolest, but it works for me:)

I guess i am old fashioned...right now i am carrying a well worn Boker Copper Head pattern slip-joint in poly cracked ice. That is day job wear. Home wear is a German Eye-Brand Copper Head with yellow scales. The Copper Head pattern is a favorite. I prefer double back-spring slip-joint knives as they are thicker, sturdier and will sustain heavier duty cutting.

I rotate my knives almost daily. The only part of my EDC kit I haven't changed for a few years is my SwissTool Spirit (with ratchet), it's the perfect multitool for me.
