What productions have gained in value over the years?

Benchmade's discontinue models, esp. the 750 Pinnacle. That and just about anything in M2. Throw in any of the early 710's in ATS-34 and add the AFCK's in any flavor, esp. those 800's with the Spydie hole.

What's a #750 going for?

Pinnacle 750 - good condition, lightly used seem to go $80-120 and NIB condition seems to bringing $150-200.

Not real great, but good, since new they could be bought for $90-115.

Benchmade M2 has really taken off. Even the fixed blades and 910 knives in M2 are getting premium prices.

Spyderco is probably the king for rises in price. BUT, it is hard to gauge which models will escalate in selling price and when. Prime example is the Dodo - not really popular until a few months after production stopped and the inventory reduction sales stopped.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe my BM 806 D2 is worth more now than when I bought it.

Not something I pay attention to, but I own a few that might qualify:

1. REKAT Sifu
2. Spyderco Lum Tanto
3. Spyderco Massad Ayoob

Most of the discontinued Benchmade Bali-Songs have gone up in value as far as I've seen.

Victorinox Yoeman and Scientist models (discontinued) both sell at premium prices. That is kind of amazing considering the ample supply of SAKs in various configurations available.

I've already sold/traded 806D2, 750, 45, guntings, LCC, and other knives, and I know I've seen the prices climb on them a little over the years. :(

The Kershaw Random Tasks are crazy high as are the Kershaw CKT Random Leeks. A CKT Random Leek just sold on the bay for over $160. It was dated 2004. In 2004 the list price was around $80. All of the short run Kershaws should be good money makers. The ZDP Leeks are already headed up in price. One year ago they could be had for around $100 now they are going for the $160-$180 range NIB. SG-2 Blurs are also headed up bought mine for $54 NIB a year ago. A used one on the bay went for $80 last week.

I think what Orthogonal1 said above is right on, not that you SEE a lot of Pinnacles these days. Once purchased they tend to stay put! If I saw a used one for $80 I'd definitely go for it.

I bought a used 750BT last year for $175 and picked up a NIB 750 in plain satin this year for $212, and another in satin combo for $185...

They definitely hold their value, "lowly" ATS-34 and all.
