Yea, the RC serrations are a really slick design. They leave a small area of flats between the serrations allowing you to sharpen right over them.

I personally don't care for serrations for the most part, but the RAT versions are pretty good.

I don't like serrations...but if I did the RAT ones would be my favorite!

Serrations / Plain... Depends on what you envision your normal tasks to be for your EDC. I'm a plain blade guy for the most part, but the unique RAT serrations intrigued me and my RC-4 has them.. VERY GLAD I went with it. The big deal with serrations is they sometimes get in the way, hang up when cutting rope ect and are a general PIA to sharpen. Well RAT has pretty much overcome those short comings. I don't see the RAT serrations as a detractor in any way. -That said for a true survival/bush knife I'd stay with a plain blade as you typically don't have a need for serrations in those situations -per sa'.. But for EDC and with RAT's killer serration design, I'd say it's more of a personal choice. -;) they look totally killer!

But thats just me talking, IMHO!

I went with the plain edge. I never really was a fan of the serrated blades. But the version RAT makes are different. Maybe the next purchase will have serrations. But go with what you like.
