Was wondering what everyone thought and if anyone has had experience throwing their RC knives.

None of them.
I should rephrase: They aren't designed as throwing knives. They work great in your hand though!

That is what I was wondering.

There are axe makers and knife makers that say "NOT" to throw them, as they are not made for that. I know certain knives after a while of throwing would lose their scales, they would also lose their scales if battoned as well after a while of extreme use like that.

United Cutlery makes some great throwing knives. RAT Cutlery are not throwing knives.

While I agree with the "no throwing" thing, I sure a hell wouldn't want to get whopped up side the head by a RC-5 chucked from a few feet away. Blade first or not!

why hell, if you want to throw something, keep your pockets full of d-cell batteries. a head -hit with one of them will do some serious damage. :D

LOL :)

I am happy to see so much GOOD advise.

I am not a knife thrower by any means, that is why I was wondering.

I have heard of indian "throwing sticks" and those looked pretty neat, byrd687 said those should work okay.

I guess if I was a crazed kung fu master I would tie a length of paracord or rope to an Izula and use it as a knife whip :)

But I AM NOT so you won't see me doing that either :)

this question almost made me start drinking again.

Already had a beer down by the time I got to this. An above post did make me remember a lever type spear thowing device we used to make in scouts. Forget how to spell the name of it. Attle attle or some such. Gonna try carving one tomorrow now I think

Tomahawk... HB Forge Shawnee throwing hawk, 40 dollars. Totally worth the money. cheap as an izula and I can split hairs with that thing at 10 yards. Takes a good beating, solid hand forged and comes knife edge sharp.
