The third common resin is vinyl ester, which is kind of in between polyester and epoxy in performance and cost. Lots of boat builders have upgraded to vinyl ester from polyester over the years since GRP boats first became common.

Can confirm about Gerald from The Epoxy Experts. I called for some basic information and we talked for over 30 minutes about what to do and not do. He also had me open up the computer and I ended up with literally 16 tabs of information and videos to watch. This man knows his stuff. One of the friendliest and most knowledgeable people I have ever talked with about anything, let along epoxy. He knows his stuff inside and out and is happy to share the information. I will honestly never use another source for Epoxy anymore. Just service like that sells me. Great place to purchase from and a treasure trove of information about how to make your own items, the properties, the ins and out of the stuff and just plain knowledge. Lots of knowledge. Not sure if I can post it or not but I have never had so much help with something in all of my life, honestly.

Glad he was able to help you out.

Nothing like having a real chemist who is an expert helping you out.
