Super Tinker with added translucent blue PLUS scales :D

Hi Andi, I have been thinking about picking up some plus scales for an old Spartan that I have. I was wondering if you find the pen useful, or if it is really too small for any real writing? I'm always forgetting a pen and was hoping this might be a solution to that problem!

I think the pen is quite useful. I´ve used the one on the Compact frequently in the past. But not for real writting a letter, making small notices when shopping or just for information to someone that I have been there and for calling back or something like this.

About the Pen / Spartan combination - I´ve read on another forum about using the pen in the spirale of the corkscrew so that you will have a good and better useable pen at all. I´ve tried it on my Compact and it works just awesome.

I think you should try that combination for your setup. :)

That sounds like a brilliant idea! Thanks Andi  now to choose a color...

Im glad I could help :) ... I would love to have SAK with StayGlow scales. Unfortunatelly they are not available in Germany.

But I think you can´t go wrong with the PLUS scales.

I came home from being away this week to find these had been dropped off by the postman .

.

Ive got to clean and sharpen them up , and add a split ring to the old straight ribbed one so I can put a lanyard on it .

Nice pickup on the ribbed Cadet.

I wish the new Cadets had a second blade instead of the nail file.

Thanks
I purchased this a while ago and its taken a few weeks to get here , but I'm very happy with it .
The old knife was the one I wanted , but the Electrician was part of the deal , but I'm not complaining .
I was watching a similar straight ribbed knife on the big auction site yesterday and it sold for nearly three times what I paid for both of these latest arrivals .
The prices that are being paid for Alox knives is really starting to go crazy .

You are correct about the prices. As of about a year ago they really started to go up substantially. It's definitely a sellers market right now. I wish I would of gotten doubles or triples of rare models when I had the chance. No way i'm letting go of my rare stuff as it would cost to much to get it back and some of them would not be able to be replaced. It is tempting though.

When the orange Farmer's became available for sale, I bought two on day one, thought about it, and bought two more the next day, and when I saw the prices for an orange Farmer on fleaBay, I bought three more. A couple will be gifted, but I'll sit on a few for a year or so and see how crazy and desperate fleaBay addicts will get.

Dug this one out of the Cigar box today---a Pioneer Harvester that I drilled and tapped screws for a pocket clip for about five years ago:) I also converted the Pruner blade into a Sheepfoot:thumbup:
