What seperates Emersons from the rest

I'd like to hear from you guys what it is that separates Emersons from the rest of the pack. I just started carrying and collecting knives only 2-3 months ago. I started with benchmades and spydercos first. Then I bought my first Emerson and it changed everything. My first one was the regular roadhouse. I instantly fell in love with the shape of the blade and haven't seen anything that comes close to it imo. But it wasn't until I had it in my hand that I noticed something different about Emersons and it took me a while to figure out what it was. I realized that compared to my other knives the striking difference was that this thing felt like a weapon in my hand. Like it was meant for and could serve the purpose of self defense, not just cutting cardboard and rope. The other striking differences were just about all of his blade designs and super grippy g10. I also love the fact that I can take it apart to clean and address any issues as needed without voiding the warranty. Since my first purchase I have only bought Emersons and am up to four in only a few weeks, and I love every single one of em. I now have a roadhouse, mini roadhouse, gentleman jim and horseman!

How about you guys? Pics are awesome as well. I'll post some as soon as I figure out how.

P.s none of my other knives come close to how Emersons feel in the hand!

You got it in the PS. Emersons have something about the way they feel in hand that makes them special. Plus the wave feature makes them one of the few folding knives that is viable as a self defense option.

Imho the cqc7 is the perfect size for me as a knife that is good for edc but has some self defense capability as well. I also personally love the chisel grind that comes on them which I find makes them easier to sharpen.

Plus there is something about how he blades are ground so that you feel like you could pry staples or other light prying without breaking the knife.

There are knives that cut better, flip smoother, weigh less, give you better materials for the price but there is something about Emerson knives that just seems to click with certain people. Sort of like how some people just get a feeling from old muscle cars even if they aren’t “the best” on the road.

My Emersons feel tough and ready for action. I feel like I can’t break their knives so easily unlike say a Spyderco PM2 where I am worried I will snap the blade tip off.

Your dead on. My first knife over $200 is still in the box and I barely wanted to use it. The roadhouse never left my pocket (until my next Emerson of course) and I couldn't wait to use it. It felt indestructible!

Tough steel. Good handle designs. Good pocket clip. Good hardware. Wave. Awesome stonewash satin blade finish. Blade grinds are near flawless. Good g10 texture. Great blade designs. Great warranty. Mr. Emerson himself. Did I miss anything?

Man, I like that desert roadhouse. Gonna have to put it on my list! What model is that in your last pic officer?

Emersons, despite all the crap people talk about them are one of the few knives I can take apart and put together over and over without any issue.

Yo btw if you want to post pictures check post number 11 in this thread. It’ll tell you how.

They may not have a flawless fit and finish like some, but knives that do typically jam up when they see any of earth's elements. Emerson's are a real tool knife, and like to be treated as such. They take a beating and keep going, easy to take apart and clean, etc.

Be careful, they are also really addicting (it seems as though you have already figured that out). I try to stop buying them, but it's becoming a real problem.

I have enough that I forget I have some until I take them all out to look... and then when I see one I forgot about it's like I got a free knife :)
