What sheath should Koyote Girl Make?

I dunno from origins.

I do know I saw one almost exactly like it that had a starting bid of .99 cents on eBay about 3 months ago, IIRC. The seller posted some weird story about how he "found" it somewhere and kept it in his car for self-defense until he got pulled over by the police who found it and thought he was insane for having it, but it was legal in his state so they let him keep it, but his girlfriend was mad at him and wanted it gone. The seller might be a member here, since he knew who Fred Perrin was. The only reason I didn't bid on it was because the handle looked way too big for me to hold comfortably. I think it sold for under 5 bucks. Again, looked exactly like what you've got, so someone made several of these.

Tyr,

No, I didn't get a crazy story with my blade and I think I paid like $15 .. It might the same maker though... I'm guessing that mine was made from a saw blade and whoever made it probably isn't going to compete with makers here at WS&S in the fit and finish department Man, if I could pick up another of these for $5, I would jump on it.... The handle is absurdly big, but that can be changed easily (I'm actually torn on that point..)

I wonder what Andy(Fiddleback) could do with that handle...:D

Something special without a doubt... Its kinda funny though, the absurdly large grip doesn't feel bad given the size of the blade, hard to explain. If you handle this knife, its hard not to like it. Feels like a knife that wants to be abused, but its needs pants if its really going get out on the property..

Well MNeedham, looks like the skinner has the most votes (of the large ones). What's the blade length and over all length of that baby?

Yes M'am, it does appear to be the winner. The dimensions are a little odd: OA length is 15.5", blade length is a liitle over 8.25", an the handle is about 7.25"... Would you consider piggybacking that with the Farmer?

For the skinner: something like the pic below. Obviously the over all shape will be a little different. I'd stitch all the way up to the bottom of the finger loop, and put the snap just above the finger loop.

For the Farmer, a single strap like the pic below. Probably one piece of leather folded over so just a seem on one side, although stitched on both sides might be good too. And it would come with a belt hanger to attach it to the horizontal straps on the big one.

And here's a pic of my second piggy back rig, so you can get an idea of what it would look like put together. Again, it would have a different over all shape, due to Koyote knives having straight spines.

Sierra,

That is looking good! I can't wait to see the finished product! Sorry about your thumb... If I was guessing which blade would be more likely to cut you, I would have said the Farmer, that knife takes a wicked edge.

I can't say wow often enough when I see your work.
Please keep your thumbs away from edges from now on.

Just thought I'd put up some pictures for ya MNeedham. I think they came out really well, I couldn't resist trying them on! :D
