What should I buy with my $1500 bonus?

If I had to think about what I wanted to buy with extra money, I would just stick it in the bank or the sock drawer. There's no reason to just spend money for the sake of spending money.

if it had to be a knife, then id hunt down an old school custom maker. one id been drooling over and hadnt been able to pop for-could fill up the page with names
but everyone has their own style/taste in knives. lots of amazing makers out there, from times past and today. one of my grails is an early ruana. before he started putting any sorta mark on em. like from the 40's. of course a scagel would be the holiest of grails from here. but $1500 may not get ya one these days. early randall when it was just him...moran. $1500 will get ya an ed fowler pronghorn. another grail for me.

My savings account won this time. I decided to just put the money away for future use. I have a couple of custom knives on order (for over a year now), as well as another 1911 (over 16 months and counting), so I don't want to order anything else right now. Thanks for all the suggestions! :)

Good choice! If there is nothing you are burning to purchase right now, save your money until there is something you really want.

Good! Now, everyone get in line to give him a Charley Horse!

I've been contemplating coming up with some sort of SHTF plan for several years. We normally have at least a month worth of food in the house anyway. We have our own well and solar power, so water shouldn't be an issue either. Keeping the panicked sheeple from overrunning the place is my biggest concern.

Franchi SPAS 15 12gauge will do the trick

well if your house is in order, your debts are paid, and you are invested to a degree you are comfortable with, its time to live. Take a flight somewhere, maybe an ESEE trip to the jungle, maybe a nice stay on the beach in Pattaya for a month. my $0.02
