I am with TonyG .... the SAR4 Lilfoo wayne had done would be a marvelous release but the absence of the talon hole trademark would perhaps be a hurdle .... if so I guess these can only be done as an aftermarket modification .... shame though as it looks a cracking knife ....

Agreed! That is one of the best looking knives I've seen and quite possibly the best I've seen from Busse.

I don't know if making one knife that does not carry a certain mark makes any difference. For example say GM has "Corvette" printed in a certain way as mark. It doesn't mean that when they made a "Camaro" that they had abandon the "Corvette" mark.

I think it is more like the knife design (lacking the mark) wouldn't be protected not that he couldn't make it.

Of course it is all moot because Jerry going to be too busy making folders :D

Since this is a wish list and I have put in a lot of time researching the "one" perfect all around knife/ I would like to see something between a Batac and SFNO, Convex edge. It would be dual purpose skinning, light chopping, and could handle a variety of camp duties with ease. That would be what I would like to see. I know there are alot of opinions on the perfect size skinner and most tend to want smaller. Remember, this wish is based on "one knife" that can do it all, and do it "well". I believe something between those 2 models/profiles would be perfect.

A choiless skinner with the special forces handle would be sweet but the Tank Buster sounds like what you're describing. I don't care for the TAC handle that much but I've used mine to field dress, skin and butcher deer. Works great.

Super X
Wouldn't the SJTAC fall into the catagory? I believe there are some out there with a convex edge.

I have handled one a couple times (precious) and I would say it would be a good "one knife" that can do quit a bit. It surely does make a great camp knife, light chopping would be alright.

Soulrack, the Tankbuster, just does not appeal to me.

Snakedoc, yes, the SJTAC may very well fall in that category, but the secondary market prices make it a little difficult for me. For new people, these secondary prices can be quite steep.... however, when they were first released, alot of these blades were very reasonable from the factory. Thanks.

Secondary prices suck... Fortunaitly there have been a lot of SJTAC's that have been showing up at the various shows like Blade, Knob Creek, etc. The SJTAC is one that I don't really see a huge gap in the secondary market price from the original price. YMMV

Thanks for the reply! I held out a long time before buying my first Busse, and I have not looked back. Take your time and find the one that fits you. The best part about it is when you find one you don't like, it is not all that hard to get your money back out of it.

:)

Thanks Snakedoc, actually, I have just bought my first Busse, A Batac CG, should be in early next week. I will go from there on my next one but believe the Batac will serve me well as a skinner and seems to get pretty good reviews.
