Because laminated blades are like a 30 year old scotch with water, a diluted version of greatness. Like Surfingringo I like patina, all my grandad's folders were carbon steel and they worked fine. I want the whole blade solid slab
 
Maybe 30 year old scotch in a sippy-cup is a better analogy? hehe

Like I said though, sippy-cups have their uses. :D
 
Now I remembered - there is another beast in the Hitachi world - HAP72 :D

HAP50 is not bad either.

I'd like one of these, please :D
