Off Topic What song are you listening to?

Damn.....I gave you instructions for an entirely different Forum...and you still got it.

I meant: hit "More Options" after "Embed" and then "Preview"

Bob Dylan's "Lord Protect My Child", "Blind Willie McTell", "Foot of Pride" and some others and the Steel Drivers lately. Also, the "Art of Flight" Soundtrack...

At this moment it's Pink Floyd's The Final Cut album. But I also recently went down the Youtube rabbit hole and found a band called the Quaker City Night Hawks' album ¡Torquila !Torquila which I have to say is amazing.

It looks like there hasn't been a music thread here for a while, so let's get one going.

Went back and actually read through the whole thread, thanks for getting it going Tyrade. Not usually big on metal covers, but since you threw in the Hozier one, I'll add this. Not much of a Disturbed fan, but IMHO these guys crushed this one.

Every lover of music should know the story of Rodriguez !! A working class American who became the voice of resistance during Apartheid in South Africa without ever knowing it

Thank you, thank you, thank you... This guy could have been the next Dylan if he was white and not from Detroit. There is a documentary on Netflix about him, amazing.

Every time I see a picture of Meatloaf I can't help but think of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"!:D:D:D

God I love that movie. It's a toss up between this and The Crow for best music from a movie ever !!

Yeah, Disturbed nailed that one for sure. I love a well done cover, and the Hozier one is one of my favourites. I really enjoy hearing different artists takes on songs I already love, more so than just having them try to copy something as closely as they can.

We did an entire day of nothing but cover songs at work the other day. It was great. :D

I'd have to say these are the best Black Sabbath covers I've ever heard.

Brownout presents Black Sabbath Vol. 1:
Brownout presents Black Sabbath Vol. 2:

Enjoy!

Like the OP, my philosophy on music is “if I like how it sounds, I’ll listen to it”. Sure, there’s genres I listen to more than others, but I won’t rule out anything.

You guys have really shown me some new stuff in this thread that is going to take me weeks to check it all out.

I love the stuff that Leo from Frog Leap does. He’s a musical genius and very entertaining.

If you like covers, check out Walk Off The Earth. They have some original stuff too, but covers are what put them on the map. I think this was their first big one

And speaking of the whole Country & Rap thing

I like to watch them and see the creative ways they make music.

Hows about some SYMPHONIC power Metal?

Nightwish with the song Ghost Love Score

Basically Game of Thrones with Xena Warrior Princess on Vocals
