What sort of Job do you have?

I've spent the last 25 years designing hard disk drives, I'm a low level read/write engineer,

I've been working the head / disk / recording technology so ya'll can store terabytes of knife porn, and that bloated operating system from MS.

:eek::eek::eek:

I'm currently a radiographer (commonly called an X-Ray technologist or radiologic technologist).
And I'm also an old Soldier and Gulf War veteran (served from 1986 to 1992).
HOOAH! to my fellow vets and our active duty brothers-in-arms!

At work I use my knife mostly to cut tape and to cut clothing of my patients.

Danno,
Well, it sure helps keep my wife and I pretty thin. Not counting FOUR grandsons, 2 on each coast.

I'm the Supervisor of the Security/Parking Enforcement Dept. at a College. I carry a big folder (Benchmade 805s TSEK) which I use to scare the bad guys with, and to slash the tires of students who won't pay their parking fines.:D.

I'm an armoured car guard / driver. At work I use my Kershaw Scallion for opening boxes of ATM envelopes, cutting off the ends of receipt rolls and for opening secure sealed bags and containers of money.

Outside of work, although the knives I carry are used for every knife-appropriate task that may arise, the primary consideration is self defense. Living in Canada, I'm only allowed to carry a gun on the job. Any day now I'm expecting a package containing a knife that will hopefully serve me well as a new EDC - a Microtech Socom Elite :D

OK OK, ill always pay my fees, Im a farm hand so my knives get used for everything from slicing bailer twine, to cleaning out horses hooves when theres no hoof pick around.

I'm an electronic systems salesman. My wife is a high school teacher. We have two boys in college, one studying in the UK right now. I've carried a pocketknife since I was 7 or 8. Let's see ... that would be ... alot of years! :D My passions are fly fishing for trout and my wife and I are "bird nerds". My knives are used when I'm fishing, when I'm in the woods and around the house.

Who do you work for? I am a electronic systems installer.

of course, I must now end you all

(Semi) retired at the moment, former hack/flack/heavy equipment operator/truck driver/freelance writer in order to support my wife, lifestyle and various addictions, such as knife collecting, fishing, hiking, hunting, canoeing, jogging, x-country skiing, etc.

For the last 18 months I have been building A new house and driving a school bus. Prior to this we lived in south orange county California where I worked as a product support engineer/ applications engineer/ applications lab supervisor for a laser company. My wife was a computer programmer analyst. We both had enough of So Cal living and quit our jobs and moved to Missouri.

Much nicer:thumbup:

You guys all sound like you have exciting jobs.

But I find my work kind of exciting too. I'm an historical archivist. (Some say history is for those that live in the past:D ) but I find it exciting to look back on how brilliant, and sometimes how stupid the human race has been throughout history. And to classify and archive various historical events.

I'm also a veteran. USAF photo intelligence analyst.

Mike I am sorry to hear that my friend.
I am sure you do a good job and are a fine Dad for Kimberly.
You have brought a tear to my eye, I have 4 young ones that keep me busy.
What part of America are you at? I have been over there several times. California for our Honeymoon and Minneapolis for work.
You take care Mate.

I am in Birmingham, Alabama. Kimberly is the only member of my family who has always shared my passion for hunting, fishing, guns, knives, and she has a pretty decent little collection of her own - Busses, Branton, Greco. We are regulars at the Blade Show in Atlanta.

I am a Junior in College at the U of Oregon. Studying human physiology and taking the MCAT in April. I carry every day to classes. And this is Eugene, OR people, the most liberal city in the nation. I get a lot of strange looks.

I'm a Technician specializing in Fire , video , and acess control systems . I have done some LE time and have packed a blade since I was six or seven . Use blades a lot on and opff duty .
