What sort of watch do you wear?

I wear a Suunto Observer every day.

When I first bought it 3 years ago I was looking for an altimeter (for climbing). I settled on this one because it was smaller than the others and looked good enough for an everyday watch. Now I can't live with out it. The altimeter and barometer features are top notch quality and mandatory in the mountains, but I find the compass feature not only useful as a back up when in the backcountry, but for veryifying directions in the city. Often while walking or driving I lose complete sense of which I am going relative to north. I also just like the look. Mine is the older one with black background as seen here. (But with the elastomer band.)

So what sorts or cool watches do you guys have/wear?

I wear a Tag Heuer automatic, that has a green face, and is stainless steel and gold. This is my dream watch!! I have always wanted one, and was finally able to get myself one.

nonne, i ahve a few, seiko and swiss army, but I'm surrounded by clocks everywhere. I'm probably never more thn 10 feet from one.

A 20 year old(one owner) Rolex Date. The only time it came off my wrist was when it was serviced 8 years ago.

Kind of depends on what I'm doing. The G-Shocks are both durable, but I wear the 5600 most of the time because it's less bulky than the 6600. Though the 6600 is what I consider my beater watch and wear that mowing, chain saw'ing, yard work, painting, etc. The Seiko I wear for fun and when I work at the youth center (middle schooler's) because most of the kids don't know how to tell time on a regular/analog face watch. It gets them interested because my Seiko is big, colorful and kind of cool looking. Anyway, they can tell time if it's digital because that's what's in their school, no more big face analog clocks I guess.

G-Shock DW-5600E (from Walmart)
G-Shock DW-6600 (from Walmart)
Seiko Orange Monster SKX781K3 (from Chronograph.com)

A cheapo Timex Expedition from Walmart for 17.95. It keeps good time, and the indiglow lights up my bedroom at night good enough to see things in the blue glow.

I don't like to have expencive watches. If it breaks I can replace it at the next 'mart I come to. So far I've been wearing it since 2001 and have not even changed a battery yet.

Daily wear: Inexpensive digital watches from WalMart. A Casio and a Timex as I recall.

When I'm going to town: A Citizen Eco Drive.

I've had my Fossil blue watch for about 4 years and its been perfect for me. Im poor and this watch looks nice, keeps the time  , date, hands and time markers all glow and its stainless with a water resistance up to 330 ft.

I like OMEGA watches. Have some Speedmasters and some Seamasters.
But today, I'm wearing a Breitling Aerospace (Titanium, grey dial)...

Still wear everything from Timex to Breguet. (Before switching to custom knives, I was a fairly serious collector of high-end wristwatches - but I was always a watch *collector*, never a watch *snob*. Big difference.)

I wear one of my Casio Triple Sensor Sea Pathfinders.

This is one of my favorites (I have a pair of this one) :

usually a SS rolex GMT11 w/a burgundy & black bezel, sometimes a TAG profesional diver, most of the time the GMT though.

I'm with Jacknife; a Timex expediton for everyday. Police work tends to be rather destructive of watches, so I like something cheap and relliable.

My wife bought me a nice Citizen solar-powered job for "nice".

Rolex Sea Dweller or Explorer II. I've had the Explorer for 13 yrs and havent felt the inclination to look anymore at watches. The SD was a gift from my wife so it sees more service than the Explorer but either one is enough to satisfy a previous watch nut into submission. :D

Somehow(and this might be blasphemy around these parts), I just don't see the big deal with really expensive and really big, heavy watches. I wear a Seiko titanium that cost me all of $99. That's the most I've ever paid for a watch.

I have a TAG I wear most of the time, a citizen ProMaster I wear now and then and a gshock and a hear rate watch I wear for sports etc
