I watched a video that was post here some time back were the OP used a spray adhesive on his sanding bar to hold the sand paper. I haven't been able to find the post again and have been trying to figure out what kind of spray adhesive was used. From the video he was able to peal and reposition the paper with out shredding the paper. So like the post title says: Which of the spray adhesives out there would be best for this?

Thanks for any advice and help

I use 3M feathering adhesive (from a tube). It's designed so that you can pull the old paper off
and apply new paper many times before needing to apply more adhesive. 1-2 years later I'm
still on my first tube of the stuff.

3M Super 77 works fine for me. It builds up after a while, I scrape the residue off the sanding bar with a razor blade every knife or so. Peeling and sticking new sheets works fine for me with this stuff. I might have re-spray the bar once or twice in the course of a 4" flat ground hunter to 600 grit.

I use Super 77 as well. I also use it on my disc grinder, a little lacquer thinner takes the build up right off.

Thanks a bunch, I have seen the 3M 77 around town so I'll give that a shot first. I have a chunk of 1/2" plexiglass about a 10 inches long and about an inch wide that is going to serve as my bar.

Thanks again for the help and advice
