What Spydercos are in your "EDC" rotation ??

my 24/7 are:
Military 440V/CE/convex(working on)
Endura ATS-55/FRN/SE
SS Dragonfly ATS-55/PE/convex

usually on me:
Spydercard
FB03 Lumto(for the last week)
Salsa alum/tan/CE(rotated with lumto in back/right)

sometimes carried:
calypso jr lt VG-10/20deg(with 30 back at 800)
cricket tufram/ATS-55/SE

also have a native sitting around, need to send in for work, along with calypso jr.

I have a carbon fiber police, and a military coming in that will be part of my EDC rotation, currently I have an old Endura (G-2 steel) and my wife carries a Calypso Jr in micarta. I love that little knife!

Sometimes carry: Military PE, S30V or Police Model PE w/Santa Fe Stoneworks mother of pearl overlay.

Always carry: Civilian in G-10.

As of now, the only Spydie I'm carrying is the Ladybug II. I usually have room for my SS Dragonfly as a money clip, but not as of late.

My EDC doesn't usually rotate - it just sits there in my pocket :D

Seriously, 95% of the time I carry my blue BF Native. Once in a while I carry a new knife just to see how it carries. The latest was a modified spearpoint Lil Temperance. After a week it was back to the Native.

Well, I suppose this might be a bit premature, since the postman dropped off my first Spyderco less than 24 hours ago, but I do have the distinct impression it will be my new EDC regularly.
Till yesterday, my EDC has been a Strider Buck Tanto, but this Military is great! Roughly the same size as the Strider, just a lot more delicate and subtle, and I can't get over the smoothness of the action and the solidity (is that a word??) of the lock.

So, yeah, the Military. (I know I really have no bussiness commenting here, all those guys above being obvious hardcore Spyderco fans, but I just had to share my exitement:D )

let me get this right... you're calling the military "delicate and subtle"?... after a bit more use with it, you'll be calling the c36 anything but. I've abused mine since getting it in August 02, and it's still holding up. If chopping up 5gallon pails isn't hard on the lock, I don't know what it. Just recently started convexing the PE on my CE, to add to stability of my edge.

Hey VW, you ever carry a Buck/Strider on a regular basis? Everything is delicate and subtle compared to that knife!:D

Don't get me wrong: I am not trying to imply that it would not hold up under abuse: on the contrary; thus far I've been extremely impressed with pretty much all aspects of the knife. I am really enthousiastic about it. 'Delicate and subtle' is probably coming from a frame of reference based on my previous EDC, the Strider Buck, which, though it has the same length, is three times as heavy and a LOT bulkier. The Military is just a lot slimmer, due to the single resecced liner, rather than Strider's two thick titanium slabs.

I did not mean to express any doubt in the quality of this knife; if I would have had any, I wouldn't have bought it.

Since I received my Kiwi, it has been in my pocket every work day. When off I opt for larger blades and the Military, P-Sark and Benchmade 710 getting about equal time.

christiaan> I'm just buggin you for the choice of words.

I thought G-10 was "cheap" when I handled it first, and again when I got mine. Now that I've warmed up to it I love it. I had doubts on the lightweight knife too. If you want somthing with bulk to it, check out the Chinook, Gunting and Lil Temp.

I looked at the Strider line, but wasn't sure about it since Buck has gone a bit downhill from the oldies.

I slip the Lil Temp into my pocket every day.
I am waiting to get a Native S30V to put into my ration, but I have not been able to locate one.

Ah, okay. Wasn't sure. With English being a foreign language to me, at times I find it hard to tell what is in jest and what is not.

Question: (off topic, again, sorry..)what other Spydercos (larger ones) feature a liner lock rather than a back lock? I think I've found a new brand to start collecting:)

Check out one of John Greco's flat grind Falcon folders. Next to them even a Buck Strider would look delicate and subtle. It's the only folder I own which outdoes my Lil Temperance for the "tank" title.

I find the concept of "rotation" a little puzzling. I want my primary EDC to always be in a familiar spot, and work the same way each time, so that in an emergency there less chance of fumbling. By emergency, I am not meaning only self-defense. Usually, when a knife is needed to protect life or property, it is because someone is tangled, snagged, or trapped by inanimate objects such as line, rope, webbing, netting, etc. My EDC is the Gunting, often/usually backed-up by another blade, depending on circumstances: Rescue 93mm, Kiwi, Civilian, CRMIPT, Gunting Trainer.

It is a split between my military and the chinook for my big knife requiremnet.

I got a calypso jr, native and lum chinese for my smaller backup knife.
