What standard production knife??

Spyderco Military by a mile. nothing I've used can come close.

preferably my sprint run in CPM M4, but even a plain Jane g10 model with s30v still beats a non military by a mile.

For me it would have to be a toss up between the CRKT foresight and the spyderco southard. The southard if superior in materials but the foresight is smoother and easier to sharpen. For me ease of sharpening is always more crucial than edge retention.

I feel like I would be good with a zt0560 but I haven't bought one yet. still rocking the vantage pro on edc

For a fixed blade, it would be my Chris Reeve Shadow III. It is an awesome piece of kit with a cool pancake sheath. For a folder, it would be my Spyderco Military or Police.

My jigged bone, end-capped GEC 23 pioneer with two 3 /12 inch 1095 blades can go through one or two wars and still be in good enough shape to hand over to my grandson.

As much as it pains me to say it, the only knife I really need is this Opinel 06. It does everything I require of it on a daily basis, when I carry it. If I feel like abusing something I'll pull out the Wetterlings. I'm in one of my anti-chopper/big knife phases right now. It's just a cycle though, I'm not selling any of my big knives, and will probably be in a different mood all together in the future.

For folders, mine would be my Large Micarta Sebenza Insingo but it's very closely followed by the Umnumzaan and the Paramilitary. It would be a tough decision, especially acounting for the "super" steel choices with the Para but the Insingo would win out in the end.

For fixed blades, I don't have as much experience but I'd probably choose an ESEE 4 for it's ruggedness and mid range size.

From what I currently own, it would be my Manix 2 XL. Love that friggin thing. Solid as a rock and a bigger knife that I have done everything from making tinder for fires, to field dressing a moose with.

Hmm... Tough one. Out of all the knives I've owned, my favorite design is the 950 Rift.

I'd swap the m4 blade from the forum knife into the two toned g10 handle and I'm set. Just a brilliant knife.

I used a Buck 110 for about 25 years until there wasn't enough blade steel left to sharpen.

I have 56 production folders. If my house was on fire and I could only grab one it would be my $25 Skyline.
