What state? . . . a suggestion

Lynn Griffith recently posted wanting to know what states we hailed from. Great idea and neat info to know.

Not too long ago over at the corvette forums someone suggested listing your city and state in your signature (like stjames does). The response was great. And instead of having to look up an old post where everyone listed there state, it was always in front of you when someone started a new thread.

I know we have some members who are legitimately in positions where this information is somewhat compromising. But overall . . .

Good idea . . . bad idea? What'cha think?

I, of course, think it is a good idea. I changed my forum signature to match what I use in all my other written correspondence. Date, name and location all clarify the perspective from which it was written. I have been considering adding profession, as well.

This all stems from my grandfather and the love of the written word I inherited from him.

Just my subjective impression, but seeing your city adds a little more personality to your post.

Gives somewhat of an impression of what your perspective might be.

Geez, Stray, you're good!

Now that we've got that out in the open, the boys and I here would like to discuss some creative looking numbers on your last filing . . .

Not a bad idea. I had no idea that Smooth Bone has the same name as my friend Frank Norman. And I also know that us Alaskans should get together. I didn't know there were so many of us.
