What steel for whittling?

......I only commenting on the ones from Argentina, as per Boker's Magnum catalog 2000-2001, states. Stainless's are 440c-440a-420j2, I will find out about they're carbon steel's.....Ironhorse........
 
I've had my eye on the Boker model 7474. It would be nice to know if it is made in Solingen, and if the steel is indeed modified 52100.
