What steel was used in 1988 for 119s?

What the thread title says. I was just looking at my old 119 and wondering which steel it was made from. I don't know if they were using the 420HC yet at that time.

We had this in a thread here just about a month or so ago. Buck began to phase in 420HC in 92 and obeechee wood in 94. This is in most books, Blade's Guide To Knives edited by Steve Shackleford comes to mind.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the replies, for being too lazy to just wait till Monday and call Buck to satisfy my idle curiosity.
