What stops you from a potential knife purchase the most?

Price. Not lack of funds, but price. It's a rare day I'll spend more than $30 on a knife. Most of mine cost me $20 or less.

Overpricing.

^This, it's funny how the knife industry is one of the few where prices increase for existing models. Just some numbers for those interested. The old ZT0200 went from 139 EUR to 209 EUR over the course of a year here in Europe. If you want a good laugh, convert those prices to $

8Cr13MOV and serrations and assisted opening. Assisted isn't that big of a deal though. I can usually overlook that.

Either it's not the knife I want, or lack of funds. I prefer either old ones in good condition, but I am looking for either a switchblade or another spring assist under 20. Actually more the price, but sometimes lack of funds.

Recurves. So many awesome knives have just the gentlest of recurves that turn sharpening from an enjoyable hobby into a chore.

Textured G10. I don't need a coarse abrasive on the handle to keep a knife in my hand.

No flipper. I'm just so used to flippers, anything else is awkward for me now.

Bead blasting/sand blasting. Rust/scratch magnets. Also, I'm really not a fan of "snail trails." Stonewashed Sebenza, anyone?

I'm always worried if I'm getting the right knife, or the right price which makes me hesitant to pull the trigger.

Pretty satisfied with my little collection at this point. However...if a production folder does not have the capability of being carried lefty tip-up, I have no interest at all.
