Hello,

Another question to community :)

What tools etc. do you recommend for making slipjoints?

I think to use for slipjoints a Bohler steels like M390PM, N690, K390, S600 (M2) , Forged K110 (D2), Forged K460 (O1).

And those little guy will be in modern-tactical style :)

I want to slowly learn how to make Slipjoints in Extreme good quality, and I need advice in accesories and tools that will help me in work.

And what steel is good for springs from those mentioned before?

New materials, titanium liners, etc. :)

This book by Adrian Harris is a good primer on classic slipjoint construction. http://www.amazon.com/Knife-Repair-Restoration-Adrian-Harris/dp/B003WKT2ZO.

For tactical folders the book by Bob Terzuola is a must read - The Tactical Folding Knife A Study of the Anatomy and Construction of the Liner-Locked Folder. His book is out of print and very hard to find and expensive when you do. I believe there is a pdf of it somewhere on the web. If you do a search for it you can probably find it.

Ok, thx for book recommendation :)

I'm collecting now materials, and couple of tools for my ZX7045 mill. (And waiting for tapping head >.> )
