What 'super' steels do you have?

Kershaw - S60V Blur, S110V Shallot (reground by Phil Wilson)
Spyderco - Mules in S90V & M4, S30V Bob T, ZDP-189 Caly Jr.
SOG X-42 in BG-42
Fantoni HB02 in S125V
Butch Harner custom fixed in 3V
Mike Alsdorf custom peanut in CPM154

I also have the Mule in ZDP, but I wanted to show the Caly, since I got it first. I got rid of my U2 in SGPS, didn't do anything for me as far as edge-holding went.

I want to get some Bohler/Uddeholm stuff, would N690 be 'super'? I know M390 will be (same make-up as 20CV), or hopefully a Vanadis grade. I'm really short on Japanese steel, no YXR7, no Super Blue, not even VG-10 left after I got rid of some spydies.

I don't know if 154cm is considered a super steel but I have the leatherman cx in 154cm and I like it.
I have the Scrap Yard scrapper 5 in SR-101 and am impressed with this carbon steel as well as ZDP-189 on a Spyderco caly 3 which is also very impressive.

My everyday is a drop pt in ATS34 by Thad Yeater. I'm not sure its super compared to 01 but it is definitely a great knife.

Gah, forgot about my Aqua Salt in H1. Used to have a CPM D2 paramilitary, but just couldn't get the desire to carry it.

Off the cuff:

ZDP-189, SGPS, S30V, 440V, S90V, CPM-M4, CPM-D2, Talonite, H1, Boye BDC, Boye BDS, BG-42, M2 (super to me), INFI (some say it is super), Japanese Blue (not sure if it is super in my example)and CPM-154. I'm sure I have others in the pile.

I want a knife in YXR7 as I think there is "super" in that steel.

I have a Buck Vantage Pro (S30V), a Kershaw Scallion in Damacus, a Benchmade Osborne 960 with D2, a Benchmade Barrage with 154CM, and a Spyderco Centofante 3 with VG-10.

Cronidur-30 (in my Böker Cronidur)
S30V (ZT 302 and Leatherman Charge TTi)
440C (Böker blackforrest)
D2 (Queen Gunstock)

couple of damascus blades and that's it for the known steels.

S90V and D-2 in Militaries and Paramils. All the rest are VG-10 and S30V, CPM440V, Gin1 and maybe a few others.

Tom Krein Ultimate Caper, Benchmade Rift and Spyderco Mule in CPM M4 (tested 62.5 RC for th Mule, reported 63 RC for the Krein, unknown for the Rift)

Spyderco Military in CPM D2 tested at 62 RC. I don't consider S30V at 59 RC a super steel, but CPM D2 at this hardness is great stuff.

Too many Spydercos to count in ZDP 189. Ok, a Caly Jr, Stretch CF, Stretch FRN, Endura with Krein grind, and Mule jump to mind.

Takeda 240mm Gyuto in Super Blue at 64 RC.

I may have others in super steels but can't think of them now.

I have several in S30V, 154CM, VG-10 and other steels but don't really think of them as super steels, just high quality steels. I more consider a Larrin Thomas Santoku in AEB-L at 63 RC a super steel than the others I just mentioned.

I've got a MT LCC & HK 14205 in 154cm.
Spyderco Wegner & CR Sebenza in ATS-34
Spyderco Goddard in VG-10
Kershaw Leek in CPM D2.
Dozier LFH in D2
BM Ritter Grip in M2.
PML chopper in 3V.
BM 710 & AFCK in M4.
Busse Meaner Street in Infi.
Kershaw Blur in S60V.
MT CMTX-5 & Korth Amazonas in S30V.
Winston Sherpa, Terzuola ATCF & Mayo TMX in CPM154.
CR Sebenza & Lightfoot 460 Mag. in BG-42.
Spyderco Stretch in ZDP-189.
Spyderco Manix 2 in S90V.
Shun Kaji chef & paring in SG2.

I'd put H1 up there as well.

Really? I guess it is super that it doesn't rust. But the H1 I have doesn't hold an edge at all. I have a Salt 1 and have bought 2 others as gifts. One was given back to me because my friend can't sharpen well and didn't have a use for a knife that dulled so quickly.

I have some M4, ZDP, and S90V. The D2 I have is not CPM but it seems pretty good.

ZDP-189, CPM-154, S30V, SGPS, BG-42,

BTW, I don't consider ATS-34, D2, H-1, 154CM, or VG-10 (all of which are listed above) to be "super steels" although they're all excellent.

ZDP, S60V (and 440V), 90V and 110V, CPM-D2, CPM-154 and SG2 come to mind. Looking forward to trying Elmax and Boher M390 as soon as the knives I want are released.

I don't really count S30V as a super steel anymore. Only thing I have that I'd consider a super steel is my Reese Weiland proto in CPM3V hardened to 63RC.

VG-10
S30V
S90V
CPM-D2
CPM-M4
ZDP (my dad's knife)
SR101
N690co (if S30V and VG-10 make it than so should this one)

Still a select few I'd like to try but fixed blades are my new interest, I like super steels but the right carbon steel with the right heat treat makes for one hell of a knife.
