What 'super' steels do you have?

Don't know quite what you guys consider "super steels" but I have a decent sampling I guess. So, I'm just going to include all of them.

My knife steels include:
1095
AUS-8
420HC
440C
VG-10
ATS-34
ATS-55
154CM
12C27
S30V
A2
D2

Some aren't 'super'. Two aren't even steel. All cut.

H-1
D-2
S30V:thumbup:
154CM
3G
420
440C
3V
Talonite
ZPD-189
INFI
N690Co
20CV:thumbup:
1095
Ceramic

Well, interesting thread, although I was really surprised to find 420, S30V, 154cm and few others in the super steel list. IMHO super is something not so common at least...

So, for me...
CPM110V - Phil Wilson Meadows Skinner, Kershaw Shallot rehardened by Phil, 64HRC, reground by Tom Krein.
CPM 10V - Phil Wilson Hunter
CPM 3V - Hossoms and Wilson
CPM125V - Phil Wilson Semi Skinner
CPM S90V - Scott Cook Lochsa
ZDP-189 - Sanetsu Gyuto, Kershaw Shallot
Aogami Super - Moritaka Chukabocho, Takeda Chukabocho and Deba
Aogami 1 - Bunch of them
INFI - Bunch

I figure M2 is a super steel too, when hardened properly. Does wonders for me at 64HRC, after Phil's treatment.

On the wish list:
Vanadis steels, have one in progress with Fred Haakonsen. If it comes out 66 HRC, I'll be super happy.
M4, waiting for Phil...
Few other things, but that's later.

If I had to list all the knives I own with super steel blades this list would be crazy long so I'll just say which are my favorite five.

ZDP-189
SG2
S60V
S110V
Duratech 20CV

Once the M4/G-10/Ti Military comes out I have a feeling that M4 will make it to that list.

Vanax 35 (2 one a paring knife and the other a folder), M390 and waiting for one in ELMAX.

Will try a Vanax 75 when available.

Just got the Fantoni HB-02 CPM S125V folder yesterday, it's super nice and razor sharp. Also have the Spyderco Stretch C90CF in ZDP-189, the Kershaw Shallot in S110V, and Phil Wilson is making me a Coyote Meadow non-folder in M390. Should have most of the high-end steels covered. I have the REI only Benchmade 530 in S30V as a daily carrier. It too is super sharp, very lightweight (under 2 ounces) and feels like nothing in the pocket.

RMB Custom Leather makes gorgeous knife pouches and will custom make something for any knife out there. Have one on order for the Spyderco as this will also be a daily carrier but is too large for a pocket.

Well I'm not sure if all of these are supersteels but what the hey, these are my higher end stainless steels

154CM: Benchmade 530, Emerson Horseman
VG-10: Spyderco Delica FFG
S30V: Spyderco Sage 1 and 2, Strider SnG, CRK Small Sebenza 21
CTS-XHP: Manix 2 limited run

I'd hardly call S30V a supersteel. Especially after how disappointingly bad it is compared to S60V and S90V in Crucible's testing.

That's not to say it's a bad steel, but it's not in the same class as its siblings.

I have a D2 composite Leek, that's the only supersteel I own at this point in time.

I've got bit more since last time:

Kershaw Junkyard Dog II COmposite: D2
Queen Cutlery Dan Burke small Barlow: D2
Benchmade 558 Ritter Mini Grip: M4
Busse Game Warden and Cultellus: INFI

It won't take long when steels drop off Super Steel list. Few years back S30V was the steel...

I know not everyone agrees on what the "super steels" are these days, but I'll list what I consider to be super steels and omit the rest.

S30v
CPM-M4
H1
INFI
SR-101
CTS-XHP

There's super steel and then there's super heat treat.

That's quite the collection.

Thanks :)
Actually by now I've added
Vanadis 4E, 66HRC. (Fred Haakonsen)
CPM M4 65HRC, Phil Wilson.

Only Super Steels listed here, looking to add more as I get them.

ZDP-189
CPM 154
M390
INFI
SR101

How about Roselli UHC at 66 RC- In the Hunter Pattern.

That may not qualify as a "super steel" in this context...or does it? I am serious. Is anybody familiar with this stuff? It looks for all the world like Wootz but I am sure no expert.

Otherwise, I am pretty much all 1095 and Sandvik which are great steels for cutting stuff...but not super in any context...super-affordable I suppose.

ZDP-189
S110v
S60v
CPM-D2
CPM-M4
Bohler M390
CPM-154

Those are the steels that I currently own that I would consider in the "super" category. I have a mess of stuff in D2, S30v, 154cm, VG10, O1... also but they aren't considered super in my mind anymore. Not that I don't like them though

I've had others but I now own a D2 Para, S30V Mini Rukus, S30V BM Activator, H1 Spyderhawk.
