Here's hoping Amy has a few too many margaritas on Labor Day and TALKS!!!!

I am sure I'm just fantasizing but what if the 101 stands for the last numbers of 9 11 01 and the steel for the knives came from the towers. Nah! Couldn't be but would've been cool.

Let's add up what we've got so far........

HACK -- nick-name of Dan Busse, known dumpster-diver and Dr. Frankenstein knife designer.

5 1/2" -- same length as the Basic 5.

HACKIvory.jpg

Same blade shape as the Basic 5. EDC handle shape. Could this have been a B5 prototype? Does the EDC handle predate the Resiprene-C? Did Jerry decide not to go with the EDC and scales on the original B5 to keep the price down?

post #101 -- 101 is the beginning level class in college, going over the basics. Colleges are just starting up this weekend and this is the beginning of a new line from the Wauseon family. 101 may also refer to the use of SR-101, probably stolen during either a limburger diversion or the release of wild cats during the Rat's shift. :D

Fossilized Mammoth Ivory -- the melding of old and new in a :cool: way. Someone must have been at the prime Scotch blood level to suggest such a combination. :p

I wonder if I'm even close on any of the above. :confused: At least it won't take "two weeks" to find out. :eek:

Of course, the only real question is how many will you order? ;) :thumbup:

101 - because its a silly millimeter longer!:thumbup::D:thumbup:

(oh you have to be old to remember that one ....)

LOL

I read the first part, thought 'your showing your age with that one'

Then I read the second part :thumbup:

Most of the measurement units in my work are metric, you don't know how often that little diddy pops into my head :barf:
